Sophie walked back to her room. Debating whether or not she should go, she didn't have a bodyguard. Onyx worked with the Neverseen and she was supposed to meet Katherine after everyone fell asleep. She didn't even know if she could trust the voice. But she did. After hours of debating, she decided to go. A part of her was excited. Another part of thought she had a death wish. When everyone went to bed, Sophie put on her cloak and rushed to the cave. But instead of just Katherina , there were one more figure this time.
"I still don't know why we are here and without backup" a melodic voice says, Sophie recognized that voice as the one from the gala.
"I've told you, you are here just in incase something happens and you are enough back up" an annoyed Katherina said back.
Sophie stepped forward, "Oh look. You're here" the one with the melodic voice said in a bored tone.
Sophie nodded and kept quiet.
"Well I don't have all day!" the melodic voice said. Katherina nudged her.
Sophie took a deep breath, "You see, I have been getting these ...visions"
Katherina raised a perfect eyebrow, "Visions?" she asked.
Sophie nodded.
"And why are you telling me?" she asked again.
"Because" Sophie hesitated, "because of the voice"
"Voice?" the melodic voice asked.
"This thing in my head" Sophie explained everything, her first, second and third visions along with the whole 'warning to get of there' thing. By the end of it Katherina's look was distant and looked a little pale.
"Did you manifest as anything?" Katherina distantly whispered.
Sophie was taken aback by the question. "As a shade" she answered.
"A shade!" The one with the one with the melodic voice yelled, speaking for the first time since the explanation. She whipped around to Katherina, the hood falling off her head in the process. Sophie stared at her . She looked about her and Katherina's age and didn't look like a Neverseen member- at all. She had a heart shaped face. Her hair was curly and a little longer than her shoulders. One half of it was black fading to silver and another half of it was a pale pink fading into a pale peach. She had a thin nose, her lips were glossed in a pale pink gloss. Her eyes were , grey? she gasped. Though Coral and Katherina didn't seem to notice, they were staring at each other, as if they were having a telepathic conversation , which they might as well be having.
After what seemed like forever, they looked back to Sophie, the one with the melodic voice raised up a crystal. Sophie just stared. "What are you waiting for? A printed invitation?" she asked, outstretching her hand.
Sophie continued stared. Was she really going to leap with a neverseen member in the middle of the night by herself? Without a bodyguard.
"Come on birdie! I am not going to bite" she said, clearly annoyed.
"Coral!" Katherina hissed. Coral? Was that her name?
"What?" she hissed back. "She looks like she's thinking I'm going to kill her"
"Of course she thinks that, dummy! We're the neverseen, remember?"
Sophie looked at Coral's outstretched hand, all of her insides were screaming RUN AWAY! But a tiny part of her wanted to find answers the blackswan wouldn't give and they didn't hurt her until now right? You know what? She DEFINITELY has a death wish. She took the outstretched hand. The girl was startled by this.
Sophie shook her hand, "Sophie Foster" she said. She could not believe this! She was shaking a neverseen member's hand.
The girl opened her mouth, closed it and opened it again, finding her voice, she said "Coral" Sophie nodded and the girl raised the crystal to the moonlight and they leaped away.

"Whhh-where ar-are w-we gg-going?" Sophie stuttered, out blowing out a breath, the air in front of her fogging up.
"To a neverseen base. Duh" Coral said.
If anyone told her past self that she'd be going to a neverseen base with two neverseen members, no bodyguard, in the middle of the night, on a snowing mountain? She'd laugh and call them crazy. But here she was, doing exactly that.
"H-how ar-are y-you n-not sh-shivering?" she asked again as they walked into a cave
"Body temperature regulation" Coral stated plainly. Sophie mentally smacked herself for not think of that and was about to start trying but they stopped at the wall of the cave. Coral placed her hand on a rock and a needle and a smooth metal pad appeared. She poked her index finger on the needle and smeared the blood on the pad. The pad glowed green and disappeared, leaving a spot of cream which Coral applied on her finger, the bleeding stopped and the wound closed. Slowly the back of the cave opened up to a.... very angry Gisela.
"I told you not to go out after curfew hours" she yelled at Coral.
"How did you know I was out anyway?" Coral asked.
"I have eyes and ears everywhere!" Gisela said. Clearly not noticing Katherina or Sophie
"Is that code word for 'Gethen' told you so'" Coral reprimanded.
"Coral-" Lady Gisela was interrupted by Katherina clearing her throat.
Lady Gisela looked at her, "Katherina-" She was once again cut off, noticing Sophie.
"Sophie? What-t-a-are you-u doing here?" she asked, clearly startled.
"She's the one who helped me escape," Katherina said, casually inspecting her nails.
"Sophie?" Lady Gisela asked, regaining her composure.
"Yes, me," Sophie said.
"She's been getting visions" Coral said, and as quickly as she got her composure back Lady Gisela lost it- again.
"Sh-she what?" she hissed.
"Well at least let us inside" Sophie said, peeking over Lady Gisela's shoulder - or trying to anyway.
Lady Gisela stepped aside and the four of them went through the door to the hideout.
Sophie gasped.
