Sophie Elizebeth Foster has no clue about her past what-so-ever. Her attempts to find out about...
When she was at mysterium, That's when Gethen seemed to notice her.
"Oh no" he muttered. "This is bad"
"What's bad?" Coral asked Gethen, looking at Sophie.
Gethen threw Coral a crystal, "Take her back to Havenfield. Now."
Coral didn't argue, but Sophie did.
"Why?" she asked, glaring.
"Ravagog exploded." Gethen said casually, checking his black cloak pockets for something.
Coral and Katherina didn't seem to know, given the fact that their eyes were wide.
"Ravagog what?!" Sophie shrieked.
"Exploded" Gethen repeated cooly, "And that's where the council thinks you are"
Katherina groaned, "They blame us. Don't they?"
Gethen shrugged, "Of Course they do"
Sophie looked at them, "What about my training? When can I return?" she asked.
Gethen frowned, "Aaron didn't come?" he asked.
"He did come", Sophie said in exasperation, "What's that got to do with anything?"
"Well" Gethen said, "Elrond will be busy for a few weeks" he said.
Sophie groaned, "Everytime I think I'm getting at something" she muttered.
"Gethen! Katherina! Inside now!" Lady Gisela's voice echoed. "Coral! Take Sophie home!" she added when she noticed Sophie. She seemed pretty upset. Judging by the looks on their faces, they must have noticed this too.
Coral took Sophie's hands and raised a crystal, whisking them away to Havenfield.
"What happened in Ravagog?" Sophie asked, before Coral stepped into the light to leap to Mysterium again.
Coral looked around Havenfield and lowered her crystal, "No idea. I suppose that's the reason for the 'emergency meeting'. Speaking of which, I should get going."
"One last question" Sophie peeped.
Coral looked at her.
"Who was that girl in the scroll you caught- uh- found me reading?" she asked.
Coral opened her mouth but heard footsteps in the distance. She threw Sophie an apologetic look and leapt away.
"Sophie? Is that you?" Grady called out.
"Grady" Sophie called out.
But it was Edaline who first came up to her, "Oh my gosh! Sophie! Thank goodness you're alright", she said, wrapping her arms around sophie.
"I'm fine, Edaline" Sophie assured, trying to squeeze her way out. "Besides, the explosion wasn't even that near" she shrugged.
Grady pulled out, "You better go inside, the others are here"
Sophie walked towards the house, checking her reflection in one of the crystal walls.
"But what-" Fokle cut Fitz off
"Mr. Vacker-" Forkle trailed off and nodded at Sophie in acknowledgement as she entered the room.
"Sophie" Fitz said,"Can you tell me what happened in Ravagog in extreme detail?" he asked.
Sophie faltered, she didn't even know what happened. Time to lie again. She was getting good at that. Hopefully, all this is for good reason "I'm sorry. I just came back, I don't want to talk about this - or anything else right now"
"But we're cognates!" Everyone in the room including Sophie and the collective said with Fitz.
Fitz turned red but looked at Sophie expectantly.
Sophie sighed and looked at Forkle and Granite.
They seemed to catch on. "Mr. Vacker, Sophie just returned. I don't think we should bother her about it." Mr. Forkle said.
"Even if you are Cognates" Teirgan added when Fitz opened his mouth - likely to argue.
Fitz closed his mouth.
Sophie made her escape to her room. As expected, Sandor was there doing a thorough sweep of her room. Wait. Sandor?
That's when Sandor saw Sophie. Smirking when he caught sight of her shocked expression. Sophie jumped aside as Onyx sprouted out the ground.
"Welcome back Miss Foster. I hope your visit to Ravagog went well." Onyx said, though he clearly knew that Sophie hadn't stepped a foot in Ravagog. "Well as well as it can go with the explosion and all"
Sophie nodded, and looked at Sandor questioningly.
"Thought I might as well check your room with Keefe downstairs." Sandor said, catching on, "though Onyx has done a plenty capable job of himself" he added nodding to Onyx.
"Yeah.." Sophie said.
"Well that's my que" Sandor said. After exchanging a lot of 'bye's and 'I'm fine's Sophie finally was left alone, outside her bedroom. Well, as alone as she can be with Onyx inside, checking for the 'threats'. Sophie placed her hand on the doorknob, and was about to turn it when she heard a voice muttering inside the room. A female voice, that definitely didn't belong to Onyx.
