Somewhere in Mondstadt, not too far away, a bard picked up on the happenings of the nation.

He raised his hand as the winds blew through his fingers. They seemed to be carrying a foul news, a silent cry of agony from someone who was yet to accept the truth.

Strange...

Who'd have the need to stifle their feelings in the Land of Freedom?

Naturally, it's an unspoken law. Only humans are supposed to recreate humans.

But the Archons as the overseers of Teyvat hold the power of creation themselves.

It is the basis of every new journey... of every new civilisation that came into existence...

Someone had to put the pen on the paper so that others could draw the line.

Though the creation of 'artificial' humans has long turned into an art of the past, those who wish to fight with destiny bring it forth in this world again.

What an 'artificial human' requires is a vessel, and a soul.

The vessel, the Archons are fully capable of creating.

But no one can recreate a soul.

Unlike natural humans, who come by through the assistance of Celestia, each of whose soul is unique...

... an artificial human would bear the soul of another human, one whose soul has been withered by time, to the point where it can live a life anew.

"Oh how I wonder... what does it feel like... to have someone to love..?" said the Goddess who had no love left in her.

To have someone by your side was both a blessing and a curse...

A blessing that someone remained beside you.

A curse when the blessing proved futile.

"So I'll make a vessel without a soul." She said. "And I'll name it a 'satellite' so it'll follow you where you go."

A flawless creation, one only meant to be a blessing. When its blood shed, the world healed.

"I'm aware of the destruction you cause on your journeys, young harbingers. May you have the power to heal it as you go.

May you understand what it feels like to love.

Then you can recite me one of those tales, too."
