A/n: I originally wanted Y/n and Scara to be able to celebrate Windblume together.

But I kinda realised as I was writing that it wouldn't fit in with the current situation of their relationship.

So yeah. I had to scrap a whole chapter ;-;

[Y/n POV]

Y/n couldn't sleep and honestly, they could not be blamed for it. Seeing this near-violent side of Scaramouche had caught them off-guard.

Like sure, he was rude to Y/n at times and did not care about most things that didn't directly benefit him. But Y/n thought they were getting along. That, if nothing else, they both were at a mutual agreement that Y/n shouldn't have to be stuck with him.

Y/n remembered the threats Scaramouche gave them, the way he was so close to hurting Y/n. Y/n had seen him run his mouth like his words were his weapons.

But that was the thing. Y/n thought his words were his weapons. Somehow, they hadn't expected him to use violence on Y/n, or anyone for that matter.

Also, was he wielding some sort of electricity?

Maybe it was a vision. That was what it looked like anyway.

Why would Scaramouche hide his vision from Y/n, though? He didn't even trust Y/n that much?

Then again, Y/n couldn't be sure it was a vision. They still needed to know more about those topics.

Ah shoot! I almost forgot to go to the library!

Y/n immediately got up from their bed. They were leaving Mondstadt in the morning. This was their only chance to gather any information about this world.

They hurried out of the hotel after writing a note to Scaramouche. Hopefully this wasn't considered as 'escaping' in his eyes.

After asking a couple knights for directions, Y/n reached the library. The sight of enormous shelves filled with books earned a gasp from them. This was the first time they had seen a library in the flesh.

The atmosphere was quiet and calming. Y/n didn't think such a place in Mondstadt would exist, since Mondstadt was usually filled with crowds and lots of noise (in a good way, obviously).

How am I supposed to know what book I need to look for..?

"Hey, darling~ Looks like you're new here.." A fancy voice called out to Y/n.

It was a brunette lady in purple robes. She had a big wizard hat and held a book in her gloved hands, looking for a shelf to keep it in.

"No need to look so flabbergasted, my dear." She slid the book into one of the shelves. "I'm Lisa, the librarian. I saw you looking rather taken aback by our library. May I have the pleasure of knowing your name~?"

Y/n smiled weakly. "I'm Y/n, and it's the first time I've seen a library, so yes, I'm a little overwhelmed."

Lisa smiled at that. "This should be a momentous occasion for you, then. Don't worry. Our library has everything you can dream to know about, unless it's something from the restricted section."
