'I'd rather keep you alive and annoyed than have you dead hunting with me.'

"Good morning," Julie said grumpily once she strode into the kitchen. Oliver and I sat side by side, watching the local news while I typed away on my computer, looking for new auditions that I haven't been to yet.

"Morning, Jules," Oliver said, turning his head to look above the sofa at his annoyed sister. I watched her shove her coffee mug underneath the nozzle in an aggressive way that made me concerned for how violent a vampire without coffee could get.

While I was thinking about how quickly Julie could kill me, Oliver scooted closer towards my computer. He pointed his finger at one audition on the screen, "I know him personally. I was actually thinking of auditioning this week if you want to join me."

Me, audition with him? The audition is for a commercial, what if they want us to do some sexy stuff for their stupid fragrance like jump off a diving board into a pool of roses together? I mean, it's be pretty romantic but am I even allowed to think about Oliver like this?

I nodded my head and my eyes flashed to the television where another fire had taken place in California.

"Madeline!" Julie shouted abruptly from the kitchen. I flinched and turned in her direction, she smiled nervously as her eyes flickered from me to the television. "Wake up Aria, please."

I looked back at Oliver, who smiled just as nervously, but still closed my laptop shut and made my way down the hallway. Those two were weirdo's, I decided mentally.

I knew I found Aria's room when I saw a line of salt outside of her door along with her name painted on it. I thought about knocking but before I could, Aria called, "Come on in!"

I smiled to myself and pushed the door open, amazed at the sight in front of me. My feet hovered over the floor as if I were on the moon, floating. Aria hovered from the ceiling in a meditative position, "You like it? I've been doing some more research."

"Do I like it?" I laughed, running through the air, "This is amazing! I'm flying for christ's sake!"

Aria unfolded her legs and began to float down to my level below. Her instruments and items floated around her, her room was incredibly different from mine. It was open, huge windows and an open door to the backyard that faced the forest. I wouldn't be surprised if they had given her the room specifically because of the windows that no other vampire would survive with.

"You needed something?" Slowly, the objects and the two of us, began to fall back onto the floor. She adjusted her skirt once her feet hurt he ground and swiped away the dust from her chest.
