Andy watched from the tiny booth in the far corner of Joe's bar as the team, 1 by 1, slowly filtered out of the door back to their cars. She had been the only one drinking that night, so after Travis tried calling Ryan (who she was dating) to come and pick her up, they decided to call her a taxi. Maya insisted to stay with her until the cab arrived, but as stubborn as ever, she refused. The bar was almost empty, so as she sat there alone with her beer, Andy felt as if she was underwater. Her head was spinning and her legs felt weak at the knees as she tried to stand up to make her way out but as she looked up she saw something. From the corner of her eye she saw a man, smiling warmly at her. Her gaze caught his and suddenly she felt like she was on top of the world. With one last confident swig of her beer, she slammed it down, the glass bottle wobbling slightly as it hit the table. Andy flicked her hair back and cat walked out of the door, waiting for him. A few seconds later a shadow emerged from the dark doorframe only a few feet ahead of her. The figure licked his lips as she did and then flashed a smile before leaning in towards her. He placed his hand on her back and she felt electric. He felt an unfamiliar warmth spreading through him and he caught her eyes again for one last look of lust, making her breath hitch just before crashing his lips onto hers. The pair stumbled up to the door, the man holding Andy's thighs as she wrapped her legs around his waist. He pulled the key out of his pocket and rushed to stick it in the lock. Andy had started sucking his neck which made him moan with pleasure so he turned around, slamming her body onto the brick wall, fighting to taste her more and more as their tongues battled for dominance. She began to fumble with his belt and he pulled his lips away from hers.
"Inside."
He muttered a singular word before plunging his mouth back down, nipping the skin of her neck between his teeth softly yet still harsh, which was just the way she likes. He dropped her down as he kicked the door shut behind them, whipping her shirt off over her head before she followed suit and with one swoop, yanked the buttons on his shirt open and pulled it down his arms. Next shoes were kicked off, then belts thrown to the floor. After that it was jeans dropped to the ground, then underwear strewn across the lounge. Never breaking the kiss, Andy leant on the back of the sofa for support, then rolled over and onto the floor, the man laying naked on the carpet, her straddling him, sat on his stomach while the pool between her legs grew. Her hands were pinning his wrists to the ground above his head and she leant forwards as if to kiss him, but pulled away as their lips collided. She tried to tease him, but with her off balance, he flipped her.
"My turn." He whispered hoarsely into her ear. He suddenly pulled backwards with no warning, and for a second she was confused but then she felt his hands on her body. She could never forget the way his tongue felt running up and down her thighs, the way his breath felt on her skin, the way his touch made her core ache and long for more of him. She didn't even know his name, but she could never forget him.

time skip - POV Andy

"Morning baby," my eyes fluttered open as Ryan was holding himself above me wearing nothing but a pair of boxer shorts he had on from the previous day.
"Get off," I muttered before turning over. As I nestled my head into the pillow I felt a wave of heat flush over me and my stomach began to ache.
"Andy baby" I heard his voice over the pounding in my head.
"Ryan I don't feel good and I have to go into work okay, not today."
I said.
"Oh come on, don't be like that. Just a quickie, let's do it." He was persistent.
"I think we should take a break." I panicked in the heat of the moment. 'Shit' I thought. Should I have done that. Everything I've ever done to him flashed before me. I looked up as tears stung my eyes to see him stood still, hand shaking on the door of the wardrobe.
"What" He forced a rough whisper through his throat. "No." He continued.
"Ryan I can't do this anymore. I keep pretending like it's you that I want but it's not. I want you in my life but I don't want to be with you anymore. I'm sorry." I could feel the pressure building deep down inside me.
"But I love you, and you love me." He said, trying to hide his fear.
"You don't understand." I was beginning to get agitated, I had to get out of there.
"Try me." His reply was short and snappy.
"I cheated on you." I turned away, the shame boiling in my stomach.
"What," he swivelled round to look me in the eyes, "When, with who?"
"Umm about 3 months ago, with some random guy at the bar," I thought it was better to say that rather than tell him the whole truth, that I had been longing for him every night since, imagining it was him kissing me, him holding me every night. Ryan didn't need to know that.
He took a deep breath, "It's okay, I forgive you."
"No," I said, "Ryan don't do this to yourself, you deserve better than I can give you."
"Andy," his voice calmed me down, "calm down," he said. "I love you."
I took a deep breath and walked out the room. We got our new captain that day and that wasn't something I wanted to miss.

Chief Ripley sat at the desk in the captains office, waiting for Andy to arrive. As he watched her walk through the door, he saw her tear stained face and he knew that based on how the new captain acts, today could either made her feel so much better or pretty much ruin her life, and her home. He called her into the office to talk.
"Herrera," he said, "I need to talk to you."
"Coming Sir" She croaked.
"Andy, are you okay?" He asked because it was obvious to anyone with eyes that she was sad, or angry maybe, but at the very least she wasn't feeling good. She paused before answering him, as if she was contemplating telling the truth, or lying. If she said she didn't feel good then she would run the risk of getting benched, or sent home, and she couldn't do that. Not with the new captain coming. After all, her father did always teach her; first impressions are everything. They can make or break your self worth, your career, your family or even your life. Not being there definitely wouldn't be a good first impression to make.
After a while she finally answered
"Yeah, I'm fine."
"Okay," He said, not asking her to co-captain for a shift like he had originally planned too. She seemed as if she didn't need any excess pressure. "Carry on then." He urged.
She walked up towards the locker, her head pounding with every step. Barely making it to the chair, she sat down and leant her head against the wooden door.
'Deep breaths. In. Out. Simple' She thought. Just then, Vic walked past.
"Hey, you okay Herrera, you don't look to good?" She questioned.
"Yeah, yeah I'm fine, just didn't sleep too great last night, that's all." Andy's reply was weak and hoarse.
"Sure?" Vic just needed to double check with her friend. Andy had a tendency to lie about that kind of thing. All she got in reply though was a slight nod of the head, which gave her little to none reassurance at all.
"Line up soon, don't forget." Vic yelled as she walked off towards the barn. Andy groaned in pain as she stood up, steadying herself before following the rest of the team down into the barn. Every wall or railing she could find, she grabbed. 'First Impressions, First Impressions, First Impressions' It was running through her head like a broken record."19!" The chief bellowed, "I would like to introduce you to your new captain..." Andy looked up.
