"Hey," Andy said softly as she knocked on the wooden door.
"Hey! I haven't seen you all shift, you okay?" Robert asked her, motioning for her to sit down. She ignored it and stayed stood up, but walked forward to lean on the desk.
"Yeah, been busy with calls and stuff, you know how it is on aid car." She replied.
"The others, Hughes and Warren, they came down after that long call you guys had. You didn't, so I got kinda worried." He admitted meekly.
"Oh," she was surprised at his openness, "you didn't need to worry, I was just getting some rest. I've been really tired lately, I think it's with the calls we've had lately." Andy was trying to convince herself more than him.
"I'm fine though." She added quickly, "How are you?"
"I'm okay." He said croakily.
"You don't - you don't sound okay, is everything alright." It was her turn to worry now.
"Yeah, no, it's..." he trailed off, waving his hand as if to try and get her to change the subject.
"It's nothing." He finished.
Everything was silent for a moment as they looked into each other's eyes. She was trying to read him, to find a reason not to believe him, other than the feeling she had that he was lying.
"What is it?" She pushed.
"I'm sick." He whispered hoarsely.
"What?!" Whisper yelling had become the pairs favourite hobby.
"How sick?" She never took her eyes off of his, afraid to break the gaze as she spoke to him.
"I'm fine. It's just a cold, that's all. Okay?" He said, reassuring her.
"Oh. Okay. Cool." She said, feeling a wave of relief flush over her.
"See? I told you it was nothing!" He said smugly, knowing he had won some power.
"I guess your right." She voiced quietly.
"Anyway, I'm just changing then leaving for Montgomery's party, you coming with?" She asked in a happier tone, flashing her pleading eyes at him. The ones he couldn't say no to.
"Yeah, sure I guess. I just need to get changed too. Meet in reception in 10?"
"You got it!" She said as she turned, walking out of his room.
He couldn't help but stare at the door frame where she had been stood just moments before.
Andy wore a white dress with a deep v-neck, that cut off mid thigh.
It was simple, yet elegant and stunning. It hugged her nicely and fit her comfortably. Robert wore a blue and white checkered shirt with a pair of black jeans on the bottom. He looked smart and casual. Formal but not serious. It was his favourite outfit.
"Hey, I'll drive." Andy greeted him as she walked out of the locker rooms, seeing him stood by the front desk.
"We're driving together?" He asked.
"Oh, I guess I just assumed. Doesn't matter, we'll go separately and I'll walk home, or get a cab." She shrugged it off.
"Oh no, I don't want anything to happen to you. We'll take my car, and I'll drive you home. That sound okay?" He smiled at her.
"Yeah of course, thank you." She looked at him over her shoulder as they walked out the reception door.

"Anyone know where Herrera is?" Miller yelled from the kitchen, where he was cooking his infamous dish.
"Oh yeah. She should be here by now. Did anyone see her on shift?" Travis asked.
"Oh my god guys. We should let her rest, she was so tired today, it was like a whole new side of Andy." Vic looked slightly fearful as she spoke.
"It was like we were stuck in a van with a monster. She constantly yelled and screamed and then she even cried. She literally ate all 6 of the granola bars we had in our bags between us." Warren's eyes widened as he explained.
"Are you joking? It's not a good joke, it doesn't make sense - Andy, she's not like that." Travis said.
"God I was he was joking." Vic shook.
"I soooo wish I was joking." Ben repeated.
"That sounds not good. That sounds scary, even." Jack stuttered, baring his teeth.
"Ohhh yeah." The pair spoke.
"Anyway, Bishop, did you find out if Sullivan's coming?" Miller asked.
"Ummm, yeah. He said he'd drop by if he felt better later." She replied.
"Oh is something wrong with the captain? Is he sick?" Travis asked, a little concerned.
"Just a little cold, he's not gonna die." She said.
"Oh cool, maybe he'll come by later then."

The pair had the windows down in the car as they travelled with the evening sun burning through the open skylight. Andy tried desperately to keep her hair tame as the wind blew it wild, Robert chuckling at her as she did.
"You know I think there's something that will help you." He spoke, trying to keep himself from laughing at her.
"Oh yeah? What's that then?" She asked spitefully.
"A hair tie."
"Oh. Unfortunately, it snapped, so you can shut up!" She snapped at him, jokingly.
"I know." He said cunningly.
"I'll put the windows up and put the air con on. That'll help, right?" He glanced at her sideways, not wanting to take his eyes off the road, but also not wanting to take his eyes off her. She gave him a slight nod and he did just that.
As he pressed the air vents open, a gust of air came blowing at them, full force. Not cold air, like they expected. Hot air. Muggy, hot air.
"Woahhh dude, turn it off!" She yelled over the noise of the road.
"Those damn heaters! I just got them fixed a few months ago!" He coughed, annoyed.
Sweat dripped down their foreheads as they got out and walked towards the entrance of the house, Andy forgetting to fix her dress as they stood.
"Did my makeup run?" She turned to ask Robert as they approached the front door.
"Just a bit," he replied, "I'll fix it."
He placed his left hand on her face to steady her as he used his other to wipe away the mascara that had run down her face. They heard the door click open and Maya stood there, smiling in confusion.
"Hey guys!" She said, not wanting to ask any questions yet.
"Captain, you made it." She grinned.
"Yep, nice to see you!" He said as he walked past her into the house. Once he was out of earshot, she grabbed Andy's arm.
"We need to talk." She spoke harshly as she dragged her friend into a spare bedroom down the hall, shutting the door behind them.
"What was that all about?" Maya questioned, smiling slightly at the thought of being right.
"What was what all about?" Andy asked confused.
"You know, that." Maya wagged her finger.
"I'm sorry, I seriously have no idea what your talking about." Andy spoke."
"Come on Andy, you drove here with the captain, and look at you!"
"What about me?" Andy stuttered, a hint of panic arising in her voice.
"Andy, your hair is crazy, it looks like it was attacked by wolves and dragged through a bush."
"None taken." Andy said sarcastically.
"Your shoe buckles aren't even done up your dress is completely askew! Don't play dumb, you can talk to me." Maya grabbed her friends hand and held it in her own, letting her know it was okay.
"Oh crap. I forgot to do them up again." Andy said, motioning to her shoes.
"Andy."
"Maya."
"I just want you to talk to me okay, I want us to be like we used to be. That starts with the truth." Maya said, her eyes looking sad.
"I promise you Maya, nothing weird is going on."
"His hands were on your face." She was nearly crying at the thought of her best friend not feeling like she could trust her.
"He was helping me fix my makeup!" Andy fought back. She was annoyed that Maya wouldn't believe the truth.
"Okay, okay. I don't wanna fight with you, so if that's what your saying I will choose to believe you, but just as your friend, I want you to know, he looked pretty darn like he wanted to kiss you." Maya smiled widely.
"Don't be stupid," Andy hit her playfully.
"Come on, let's fix you up and get back out there!" Maya said, and the pair chuckled. It almost felt back to normal again.
"Oh," she added, "And just so you know, I am gonna need a list of excuses for all those other things too, not just the reason his hands were on you," she laughed.
"Whatever, I'll tell you later. It's a long story." Andy giggled over the faint music in the background. They grinned at each other, getting up to get back to the party.
