"I'm gonna join you guys in 5," I inform Ash as he turns to me walking into a diner with the others "I'll give Denise a call!" I add waving with my phone.

*toot* *toot* *toot*

"Hello," She greets unpleased "Calum."

"Hey, what's up, babe." I ask quite unsure.

"Nothing really, you know being home, watching TV 'n stuff. What about you?" She mutters through the phone.

"Sounds good to me," I smile "So, did you talk to your parents?"

"Um, yeah. Actually I need to talk to you." She goes monotone.

"Okay, Then talk to me." I say displaced.

"Well, I talked to my mom. She didn't react as I expected her to, quite the contrary. She was rather shocked than excited. I think the fact that I quit college still bugs her, but she was like: What? Denise you just turned 18 blah blah. Are you sure you want to make such huge step just yet blah blah. You guys are together for no longer than a year now blah blah blah." She explains sighing.

"So she isn't happy with it?" I ask in a mumbly tone "So what? You never cared about what your mom wanted for you."

"But it made me think about the whole engagement thing, you know? It's true we're together for not even a year now. You know I truly love you but don't you think it's a bit too early to make such a step?" She rather apologizes than talks.

"Wow, I don't know. I didn't want to wait any longer top make such a step." I admit.

"And I'm really honored by that, I really am. But what if you can't stand me anymore two years from now," She wonders "I get really dang annoying after 1 am, do you really want that for the rest of your life?" She laughs jokingly.

"Yes, that's exctly what I want. Nothing more. I love sleep deprived Denise just as much as I love wide awake Denise."

"But,"

"Just stop doubting. It's gonna be awesome, trust me. Only if you don't like me anymore, then break up with me, now."

"How could I not like you anymore, Cal?"

"I know I'm irresistible." I laugh snorting a little.

"Don't overdo it, honey. Maybe I overthink my decision once again."

"Never! K you're irresistible, that reminds me that I haven't seen you naked for a while now, damn."

"Wait, you're right. I'm not on tour all the time, so it's not my fault." She goes ironically.

"You're such a tease." I growl spotting Ash waving at me, telling me to finally join them.

"I'm a tease?!"

"You are, yes you are. Babe, I have to go. call you soon. Love you lots."

"Yeah, bye. Have fun, Cal Cal. Love you too."

It's our last week on promo tour. I cant wait to get back home. Most important, I can't wait to hold her, hold her tight again.

At night I wake up at some point all smiles know that I'm going to see her again soon.

"Why so cheerful Cal?" Michael asks staring up at me from his bunk as I head outside. I don't it became a habit to smoke a cigarette in the middle of the night. So I get the pack of cigarettes and turn back to him. "I dunno, mate. I'm just happy."

He doesn't bother to ask any further so he just turns around on the bed and falls asleep again.

I head outside, lighting the cigarette I look up at the the stars, remembering what my mom told me when I was a little boy. "When you miss someone, just look up at the stars, count to three and say the name of the one you miss. You won't feel as distant anymore, I promise."

I do just as my mom told me to. It's true she doesn't seem as far away as she seemed before.

Two days later I'm sitting on the sofa in the very end of the bus. My nervously taps on the wooden ground as I'm sitting there waiting for another sign that has Los Angeles ...miles written on it to come our way. For three minutes I stare out of the window, I've never been that excited to see a street sign I realise as we finally pass another sign: Los Angeles 25 miles.

"Really, bro?" Ash goes surprised bout my ridiculousness.

"Wha-What?" I shrug.

"Are you serious," he giggles. "What are you even doing?"

"I-I don't know either. Like, I can't wait to get home, you know?"

"You miss her, don't you?" He points out taking a seat on the smaller sofa across of the room, well, 5 feet away from me.

"A lot actually," I sigh. "Being apart's hard, eventhough we don't spend that much time together due to touring 'n stuff but when I'm in LA we are always together, like we spend time 24/7." I add.

"We arrive in an hour, don't go crazy alright?" He requests.

"I'm trying, dude, I'm trying." I shout jokingly after him walking to the front of the bus. WIhtout facing me again he gives me a thumb up over his shoulder and laughs.

I open my laptop and open twitter to tweet some deep shit.

//4:22 pm

No place's as beautiful as hell would be with you.

"hmm- Nah, that's way too cheesy,"

//4:23 pm

Heaven is a place with you.

"Yeah that's good." I think to myself pressing the 'tweet' button.

Only 2 minutes later Luke yells from the front of the bus:"Wow, Calum your such a cheese ball!"

"Fuck off, Lukas!" I yell back.

"Get over it cheesy ball!" Luke fights back.

"You're just jealous of my cheesiness!"

"Umm, NO?!" he shouts laughing in the end.

"I lub you too, bro!"

"Aw Cal Pal, love you more."
