Chapter 35

"Ray. Wake up~."

Ray groaned and opened his eyes. "Hm? Norman. I'm still sleepy."

Norman chuckled sweetly. "Come on, Ray. Wake up!"

Ray chuckled sweetly. "Okay. I'm getting up."

Ray sat up he cupped Norman's cheek and they both placed their foreheads together.

"Good Morning~." Norman smiled brightly.

"Morning." Ray smiled.

They stayed like that for a few moments, then suddenly everything turned dark and Norman disappeared.

"Norman? Where are you?" Ray shouted and looked around in the darkness.

His arms and legs felt like it was tied behind his back. He tried to struggle free, but failed. His head was throbbing.

"Hello? Are you up?" An unfamiliar voice called out.

'Huh? Who's that?  That doesn't sound like Norman. Who's that?'

Ray slowly opened his eyes and saw that his arms and legs were tied on a chair.

He looked up as his eyes adjusted into the darkness of the room.

Ray raised his head and looked at a man who was sitting on the corner of the room, who was busy scrolling through his phone.

Ray squinted his eyes when the light that was hanging above his head blinded him. He also groaned when his throbbed.

The man who was at the corner looked up from his phone and grinned wickedly.

"Oh? Look who's up." He stood up from his chair. He stuffed his phone into his pocket and walked up to Ray.

He stood tall in front of him. Ray looked up and glared at him.

"W-who are you?" Ray groaned.

He chuckled darkly, he roughly pulled his hair to make him look up.

Ray groaned painfully, since his is still throbbing.

"Well, Ray. My names Jasper Villin."

Ray chuckled.

Jasper cocked an eyebrow he gritted his teeth. "What's so funny?" He said angrily.

"Your last name. It sound like "villain". Oh wait. You are one!" Ray grinned mischievously.

"Tsk! Why you!" He punched him making Ray bite his lip and spit blood.

"Man! I bit my lip. Looks like this is going to bruise. Oh well, not like a little bruise can kill me." Ray declared calmly.

He chuckled. "Brave, huh? Well that bravery of yours will soon disappear once my brother comes back and you are going to have a one hell of a painful experience." He leaned down and grinned darkly. He let go of Ray's hair and left the room.

Leaving Ray alone.

He sighed. "How on earth did I even let my guard down. Damn it!"

Flashback to earlier.

Ray went down town to help a little girl named, Lily, 8 years old, she has chocolate brown hair with green eyes. She was wearing a pink dress with flowers on it and was last seen entering the forest, who was said to have fallen down a cliff in the forest, and is hanging onto a branch, by a stranger and reported it to the authorities.

"Why would someone leave their daughter roaming around alone without adult supervision? *sighs*
Ray immediately got onto his motorcycle and rode to the forest with some of the guards following him from the behind.
