Chapter 21 - Round 2, You Lizard

I awoke from my coma, out of breath. I immediately checked on my injuries, noting that they have already healed. Madam Pomfrey entered the infirmary with a sad, frowning face when she saw me.

Madam Pomfrey: Mr. Ren! You're awake! 

Damien(Coarse Voice): How long have I been—

Madam Pomfrey: Almost 3 months. It's almost summer now.

My eyes slightly widened.

Madam Pomfrey: I'm going to call McGonagall. She asked me to tell her when you were awake. 

She said as she walked out of the infirmary. Summer... that means Harry and Ron are about to enter the Chamber of Secrets.

The staff started rushing into the infirmary, Lockhart being the last.

McGonagall: Damien, you're finally awake. Tell me now, quickly. What is the Slytherin Monster?!

Damien(Coarse Voice): A Basilisk... A bloody Basilisk.

The staff gasped.

Damien(Coarse Voice): It wasn't normal too. I think it was genetically modified by Salazar. 

Snape: And how did you survive its Petrification Glare?

He asked.

Damien: *lying* I closed my eyes. I know what a Basilisk was, from Hermione's study sessions, so I know about its Glare. I had a speculation, that it was something related to a snake, cause I kept hearing hisses around Hogwarts.

Snape: I see...

Everyone's face paled. Something was wrong.

Damien(Coarse Voice): What happened?

McGonagall: Sigh... 

She explained what happened when I was in a comatose state. Dumbledore suspended, Hagrid in Azkaban, and Ginny was taken by the Basilisk.

Damien: ...

McGonagall: Sigh... it seems Hogwarts is closing. I'll lead you to the Tower, Mr. Ren.

Madam Pomfrey took off the bandages on my body. A small portion of my left wrist has turned tan, from Heracles Technique. After another checkup, I was good to go. Sleeping for 3 months does things to you.

McGonagall lead me to the Tower, which was for once, quiet. She left me in front of the portrait. Muttering the password she gave me, the portrait opened to show the Common Room so crowded, yet so quiet. No one realized that I was back. I looked around for the trio, but they weren't there. 

Realizing where they've been, I immediately ran up and grabbed my Bag of Holding before gearing up.

The real 'Holy Shroud of Martin', 'Yamato', 'Blue Rose', ready Magic Circuits, and after eating all my chocolate reserves, I was ready. I brought out the real 'Hat of Invisibility' and put it on, before leaving the Tower to Moaning Myrtle's stall.

As expected, there was a slide that connected the Chamber of Secrets to the washroom. I braced myself before entering it.

It was like rushing down an endless, slimy, dark slide. After a couple of seconds, the pipe leveled out, and I shot out of the end with a wet thud, landing on the damp floor of a dark stone tunnel large enough to standing.
