SPOILER FOR CLICK STARRING ADAM SANDLER!

The week flew in once again, and it was Friday, now. Harriet was peddling on her regular route down the main road to the gas station on her red bike, the wind in her hair was soothing and she enjoyed riding her bike. Although she didn't do it much. She turned into the gas station and put the bike against the wall.

She walked into the small store, getting the regular stuff and walking over to the guy who was there every week. You would think that after coming to this gas station every Friday for the past week she would have built some kind of friendship with the man who served her but she had never even heard him speak before.

She payed quickly and shot out the door, there was only 10 minutes until Casey would be home from her run, which just ave her enough time to get home, if she went fast enough she would have 5 minutes to spare but she seriously doubted it. Her legs were still sore from practice, she had no idea how Casey was still running, maybe she had worked harder than Casey this week, which was a surprise because Casey was the hardest worker she had ever met.

Her leg swung over the bike and she sat down on the seat, backpack on her back. She peddled down the street as fast as she could and dodged cars every so often, she past the same bar she past every week. Drunk men piling out the door, a few with bruised eyes and bloody noses. A man with a beard and jet black hair was kicking out a few troublemakers.

She rode past them, on the road. At the end of the street she turned into her own street and saw Casey running into the driveway, "Brown!"

Casey turned to her best friend and waved, "Running late, Red. That's not like you." She said picking on Harriet's habit of running late, which was kind of ironic considering she was one of Newton's fastest runner, only tying with the one and only, Casey Gardner.

"Oh, shut up." She said as she road into the driveway, throwing down her bike. The girl's walked into their house, sitting down on the couch.

"And the movie is?" Asked Harriet.

"Click, starring Adam Sandler."

"Oooooh, I've never seen that before."

"Me neither, so this'll be fun." She pressed play on the remote and the movie started playing. As usual, Harriet laid her head on Casey's shoulder and Casey put her arm around Harriet.

By the end of the movie Harriet was crying and Casey was laughing at how much the movie impacted the smaller girl.

"Come on, it wasn't that sad."

"Yes, it was. I thought he was gonna die." She was still crying.

"Aww." Casey said embracing her best friend in a hug. Harriet hugged her back laughing now.

"You're gonna have to carry me up to my bed, my feet are fucking sore."

"No way."

"Come on. You made me cry with that movie it's pay back."

Casey sighed, dramatically. "Fine!" She stood up, scooping up her friend bridal style and taking her upstairs. Harriet wrapped her arms around Casey's neck laughing. They reached Harriet's bedroom and Casey laid her on the bed and lay next to her. Harriet turned to look at Casey smiling.

"Thank you, Brown."

"You're very welcome, Red." Both girls fell asleep in Harriet's bed that night dreaming dreams of winning the next track meet with Casey by her side.

By the time Monday had rolled around Sam still didn't have a date, he told Harriet that he scared a girl off from across the room and she had spent the whole weekend wondering how the fuck he did that. Harriet wasn't great at finding dates either but she had never scared anyone off from across the room.
