Apparently Doug had spoke to Sam and he was back on the dating train once again. Casey and Harriet were out early on Monday morning for an early morning training session and guess who showed up? Evan fucking Chapin. Harriet was sure that Casey would never rid of him, she knew she liked him even though she had never told her, but she also wondered why she never told her. I mean, she made it obvious enough, so why wouldn't she just tell her. Maybe she didn't want to burden her or maybe she knew she Harriet liked her.

She tried not to think about it as she ran round the track. She channeled all her feelings into running and she was actually beating Casey today, which was great. They came to the end of the race and Casey said, "Wow, you're getting fast. Where did that come from?" Still out of breathe, Harriet shrugged, laughing.

Harriet saw Evan staring at Casey as she put her hands on her head, in pain from the run. She turned to look at him and he waved a broad smile on his face. Casey waved back, Harriet looked away biting her lip and grabbing her water bottle. "Shit, Casey. That's a grown ass man, right there." The voice of her teammate made Harriet's head turn.  "Are you guys banging or are you still in handy land?" Harriet sat down on the bench looking at Evan. He smiled and waved at her, she waved back, also smiling. She was so on the fence about him that it drove her nuts. She wanted to hate him but she couldn't, he was too nice.

"Yeah right, Casey's a total prude. She's never even kissed a boy." Harriet obviously knew that but it still made her smile.

"You didn't mention a boyfriend. How can you not tell me you have a boyfriend?" Sharice said. The team calling Evan, Casey's boyfriend annoyed the redhead.

"He's not my boyfriend, were just hanging out." Casey defended.

"Mh-Hmm, hanging out with his DICK!" Harriet rolled her eyes. The girls laughed and walked away leaving Casey and Sharice on their own and Harriet sitting on the bench. Casey wiped the back of her neck with a towel and smiled.

"Are you?" Sharice whisper yelled. Casey looked at her in a mock way, as if to say 'seriously?' "Hanging out with his dick?"

"No. Sharice. Go away." She said laughing and pushing the shorter girl's shoulder.

Harriet watched Evan walk down the stairs shrugging his shoulders as him and Casey laughed from a distance. In her veins, jealousy bubbled and she stood up making her way into the girl's changing room. Casey didn't even notice her as she left, too caught up in Evan.

When Harriet got home from therapy later in the day, Sam was running upstairs. He looked bothered by something and Harriet was determined to make him feel better. So, was Doug apparently because when she got upstairs he was already there.

Sam was walking round his bed in circles, one of his replacement behaviors. "Is everything okay?" Harriet asked, fiddling with her hands nervously. Sam stopped walking, glancing over at Harriet and Doug as they stood at the door.

"Want to talk?" Doug spoke up.

"Maybe, I should talk to Harriet or Mom." Harriet looked up at Doug nervously.

"Well, maybe your dad should be here, too. He knows more about this stuff than me." Harriet offered, hoping Sam would say yes.

"Maybe I can help."  Doug agreed.

Sam paused, trying to figure out whether he should say it, "I like a girl." 'Hell, that makes two of us.' Harriet thought.

"Really?" Doug asked. "That's good. What's she like?"

"She's smart, and she's pretty. And she has a boyfriend-" 'Evan' "Miles, stupid Miles." He started walking round the bed again as Harriet thought carefully about what he was saying. It was comforting knowing that same was going through the same thing she was.
