Harriet sat on Casey's bed in a very professional looking suit, watching her best friend look in the mirror. Casey was wearing a black dress and vans and it was fair to say that she looked absolutely stunning. But, in all fairness, Harriet thought she was stunning in everything she wore.
Casey smiled at Harriet in the mirror as the red head looked at the taller girl.
At that moment, Elsa walked in. "Oh my gosh. Look at you both. You look so pretty."
Harriet smiled at the compliment. Casey's lip quivered self consciously but there was a faint smile that Harriet could see in Casey's reflection.
Elsa looked her daughter up and down. "Maybe different shoes."
Casey's face dropped, "Mom."
"Girls, i want you to know that i am fully on board with you going to Clayton Prep." Elsa said, whilst walking into the room and standing by Casey's bed looking at the girl who sat on it.
"Oh yeah?" Casey started, voice dripping with sarcasm. "Does this have anything to do with the 5 hour closed door conversation you and dad had the other day?"
"It took me some time but i got there." Harriet could see where Elsa was coming from but that didn't stop her from being disappointed when Elsa had first shut down the idea. "And the distance and the money and Sam. We'll figure it out."
"Oh, that reminds me. Sam?" Out from the bathroom walked Sam. When he walked in he looked his sister up and down the same way Elsa and Harriet previously had. "We have the Clayton tour today so we won't be in school to give you your lunch money. But Evan's sister Beth will hold onto it and find you during fifth period" Harriet smiled at Casey being such an adorable sister, she was honestly falling harder for her everyday and she was noticing all the small things that Casey does that makes her utterly amazing and adorable.
"Do you know who this Beth is?" Elsa said, as Harriet kept admiring Casey from afar.
"Yes, she talks loud. Why are you wearing a dress? Do they need to see how muscly your legs are to see if they want you on the team?" Casey and Harriet both furrowed there eyes at the boy as Doug now entered the room.
"Let's go. You don't want to be late the the school before you guys actually go to the school."
"Look. You're even wearing the Clayton colours." Elsa smiled at her husband.
"That is not on purpose." Casey said.
"Yeah, he wears that shirt everyday." Harriet added.
"Still, he looks very nice." She looked around at her family. "We're a beautiful family." She then went around everyone and put her hands on there faces, then her and Sam left through different doors.
"Why is she being so nice?" Casey whispered to the two redheads. Harriet shrugged.
"I don't know but don't jynx it." He placed his hand on his daughter's shoulder."You look good." He said and then he left.
Casey turned back to the mirror and looked at herself, then at Harriet in the reflection, who smiled at her and they both left the room, ready for their interveiw.
The grounds of Clayton Prep were rather old looking, it was a very sophisticated building and Harriet felt rather out of place.
The three Gardners and Harriet were walking through the school courtyard and having a look around. It looked like something from a book.
"I heard the guide call this the Peace Garden." Elsa said, when they walked through a very neat and clean garden. "It's so beautiful here."
It hadn't really sunk in that Harriet and Casey could actually be attending this school next semester.
