Chapter 1 "Mon Cheri"

Middle of the Night,

Cold winter. The forest was covered by snow all around it. A small girl was running in the forest leaving small footprints from her boots on the snow. She stopped behind the tree trying to catch a breath from the long run looking around. She sat down, looking down on her long coat, straightening her hood. A girl started crying, closing her mouth with her hand, trying to hide the sound of her crying. Her blue glowing eyes started getting more lighter like a sky in the summer with no clouds around. A perfection that was her mark to death. As soon as she heard voices behind her, she got up and started running away, falling from stepping up on the long coat and trying to get up. She started crying hysterically looking down with no will to get up. She opened her eyes and saw a man's hand in front of her face.

- Let me help you, - the man sat down in front of her, looking at her crying face. He was a vampire that was not scared of her or wish of killing her. The man knew how is it to hide your whole life from being humiliated by others. She looked at his red eyes apprehensively, then she looked at his hand, opening her mouth.

- Are you not going to kill me? - after she asked that, he shook his head and exhaled. He put his hand on her cheek and smiled warmly.

- I know how do you feel, you are just a kid who did not deserve it, - said the man, looking at her. She did not know if she could trust him. Even as a kid, she had never been naive, more likely careful with vampires, - I do not have that much time, we need to go if you will accept my help to the clan of the blue moon. Please, let me help you.

She took his hand and stood up. A girl nodded, looking back and seeing how lights were coming closer and closer to them. No time to waste for negotiations.

- I believe you, - she sadly looked down for a second and looked back at the man, holding his hand. He nodded, taking her in his hands and jumping off the ground, disappearing in the darkness of the forest that was lightened with the light of the Blue Moon from the sky.

Years later

Paris's streets 

The middle of the day 

Noe was sitting on the ground and looking at the clown on the street who was showing magical tricks to kids. It was his first time in Paris and almost as a kid he enjoyed everything around him. Vanitas stopped, looking back at him. Vanitas rolled his eyes overseeing Noe, he came to him and grabbed the back of his shirt, making him get up and go with him.

- Ugh, Noe, I know it is your first time in Paris, but I still do not have my book, we need to get it back, - said Vanitas, hearing Noe's annoyed exhaling, that was walking behind him. He has not said a word trying to focus on Paris' beauty. Noe bumped into someone and looked at the girl in the coat. Her blue eyes made him staring at them. She looked at him for a second, feeling his vampire nature, and looked away. She bypassed him leaving him standing in the crowd and looking at her from behind. Vanitas slapped the back of his head, making him go back to reality.

- What did you see now? - asked Vanitas, laughing at Noe's annoyed face.

- Nothing, I just think I saw someone, - he turned around and followed Vanitas to some residence where Vanitas stopped him seeing that vampire from the board of the ship. While Vanitas and this man were talking, Noe could not stop thinking about the girl he met. The feeling around her was different. Almost how he was feeling for the first time Vanitas opened his book and healed the vampire. After they finished talking, they headed out to the way to get the book back.
