Chapter 10 "Saviour"

Next Day

Middle of the day

Hotel Room

Noe was sleeping in the bed with her, hugging her as her pillow. As soon as they came to the hotel yesterday, Noe begged her to stay sleeping in the same bed as he was falling asleep faster, but was is it a real reason for him wanting to share a bed with her? They both were similar having abnormal sleep schedules and sleeping a long time. Vanitas was all ready to leave the room but stopped, throwing a pillow at Noe, but even this hasn't wake her up. She lost so much energy that her body needed more than a few hours. Noe flinched and got up, looking at Vanitas with sleepy eyes.

- Uh, what do you want, Vanitas? - said Noe, sitting on the bed.

- Are you going to sleep the whole day? - asked Vanitas, raising his eyebrows, - Even so, I am going out. Don't follow me.

- Fine, - said Noe, yawning and going back under the blanket, getting the vampire of the blue moon back in his tight hug. Vanitas looked at the vampire of the blue moon calmly sleeping face and smiled. Vanitas left the room, leaving them alone. 

- I am surprised she even let you get close to her in sleep, - a sudden voice made Noe quickly got up and look in front of him. It was Ruthven, who standing in front of him and looking at her.

- Oh, sorry, I..I.., - Noe started getting lost in his words. Lord catches him off guard, making him get lost in his words, - I've done nothing, I just fall asleep faster. 

Lord laughed, looking at Noe's scared face. All sleep from Noe's head was gone as soon as he saw him. 

- Would you like to come for a leisure talk with me? - asked Ruthven, adjusting his coat.

- I would love to, but I don't want to leave her alone. She used way too much power of the blue moon nature that knocked her off and if she needs anything, - Noe looked at Ruthven who cut his speech. Noe realized that it was not about her. Ruthven wanted to catch him without Vanitas.

-  No need to worry. It will take her a few days if she went more than on the rage, so the probability of her waking up while you are gone is low, but to be fully honest, I wanted to have a private conversation with you, - Ruthven's voice was calm and kind that made Noe believe in his words. Ruthven was a part of her life that convinced him to talk to him. Noe got up from the bed and quickly changed.

- We can go now, - said Noe, covering her with a blanket. Noe took his coat and followed Ruthven to the exit of the room. 

Noe and Ruthven got into the cafe. No one was here except them two. They were sitting at the table. Noe took a cup of tea and a piece of cake that Ruthven offered him. Ruthven put his coat on the back of the chair and looked at Noe.

- Well, your teacher was having quite a good feedback about you and I am sure that you are a good boy, - said Ruthven, making Noe blush.

- Uh, Lord Ruthven, - said Noe, feeling uncomfortable being one-by-one with him in the cafe.

- Oh, yes, I rented the whole place for us to have a private conversation, - said Ruthven with a smile, - I hope it is not a problem for you?

- No, it is not a problem, - Noe smiled, taking a sip of the tea.

- So what do you think about Vanitas, Noe? - asked Ruthven.

- Huh, I don't have a clear idea of his past or him. It is really hard to understand to get what sort of person he is. Vanitas can be so different all the time that it makes me feel frustrated, but he would never hurt anyone if it is for his sake. He might be difficult, but he can be a good person, - said Noe with an awkward smile on his face.
