Round 10 - Chapter 8 - A Much Needed Stay

Y/N'S POV

The day has been nothing but tiring, my own mind feeling like it's slowly unraveling. I felt like I had no energy physically or mentally, the stress of the past with Nea and Neo getting brought back up, not to mention everything else that happened, it all made me want to just crawl into a deep hole and never come out.

It's been like this since I woke up, still in the arms of Robyn, something she had no problem with. Despite my wrecked state she didn't complain once or brush me off, she's just been there for me the entire day. She was really concerned as my current state didn't just make me an energyless mess, but it also translated into physical pain that plagued me all day.

I was sitting on her bed now, my hand covering my face. Robyn had cooked some really amazing dinner and insisted I stay the night, not even once entertaining the idea of me sleeping on the floor or couch, but rather in her bed. I didn't know what she was doing currently but she just told me to wait for her, something that my mind took as an opportunity to just drag me down further.

Y/N: "....just why? how is all of this happening and at the same time as well?" I asked myself quietly.

My head slumped forward as I let out what was probably my one-hundred sigh of the day, rubbing my face up and down with both my hands.

Y/N: "And now I'm just burdening Robyn with my presence, ruining her entire day..."

Robyn: "You've never been a burden and never will be Y/N..."

I look up surprised, not expecting her to stand in the doorway. Robyn just looked at me sadly and sat down next to me, taking my hands in hers as she looked at me intensely.

Robyn: "You are here because I wanted you to be here, I know you're hurting...a-and I want to help you. I wa-"

Y/N: "Why? after Sharon was stopped you could've just left and moved on with your life, why waste your time with me? I'm nothing special, let alone average... " I ask suddenly, cutting her off.

Robyn squeezes my hands tightly, looking even more determined as she stared into my eyes.

Robyn: "You are special Y/N, you're the special someone that has captured my heart, something even I thought was impossible."

She releases my hands and caresses my cheeks, her face slowly moving closer. My face heats up as the smile on her face just grows bigger by the second, confident yet nervous.

Robyn: "I've gone through a lot of fights in my life, and this is just another one, one I'll help you win." She whispered before pressing her lips against mine.

Even though I saw it coming thanks to her slow approach, I still didn't know what to do. Robyn just slowly pushed me backward mid-kiss until I was laying on the bed with her on top of me, cuddling up to me when the need for air forced us to separate.

Robyn: "Now tomorrow I'm going to take you out on a nice date." She whispered.

I didn't know what to say or do but hug Robyn as neither one of us could bring ourselves to take off our clothes or pull the blanket over us, too tired and comfortable to move.

When I finally found my voice again and wanted to respond to Robyn I noticed that she had already fallen asleep, her breathing slightly slower as her grip on me tightened a bit...
