Just a little while before Lilac and Ella made their way to one of the dungeons, William was still holding the stick of dynamite by his side. He was currently being led by both Sol and Brook. The three of them were jumping from roof to roof to get near the plaza. Each building was close enough to each other to make safe leaps. Staying on top of each building helped keep them out of sight from any knight or guard roaming the streets.
The only real problem they would have from being seen is if somehow a guard would be able to spot them from any of the tall towers. Even if they chose any safer option, being in Luminar was still a huge risk. "The plaza is located near the center of the capital. There's a wall that divides the plaza and the castle grounds. We need to figure out a way where we can get everyone from the castle and out into the plaza." Brook said.
"We're expecting to do that with just this one stick of dynamite? That seems like an impossible task if you ask me." William said. "Don't forget that as soon as that explosion goes off, the end results are to get everyone out while you start to become a distraction. Last chance to back out." Sol said. "I thought I said before that it was too late to back out. I'm ready." William said confidently and more determined than ever.
"Just make sure that explosion doesn't cause a chain reaction that gets everyone hurt." Brook said to William. William was confused about Brook's warning as they all finally jumped to the last building that reached the plaza. "What do you mean by that?" William asked. "We all left a bunch of dynamite behind in Marvin's hands. I doubt they would leave anything like that behind so I bet they have it all stored away somewhere within the castle and away from the civilians." Sol said.
They all crouched so they wouldn't immediately be seen by the guards roaming the wall that separated the plaza from the castle grounds. "Getting past that wall isn't enough. You'll have to go across the field to actually reach the castle." Brook said. "I don't think sneaking in is going to be an option." William said. From the looks of everything, the plaza was another heavily guarded area that would make it impossible to sneak through.
"When we see an opening, you'll have to run straight through and throw that stick of dynamite. That would also start the distraction." Sol said. All of that pretty much meant that William would have to light the dynamite, run for the castle fast enough before it explodes in his hand, and toss it. All of that while he would have several guards chasing after him aiming to kill. Now that they were approaching that moment, William couldn't help but feel scared.
There wasn't really any proof that this would make anyone in the castle flee either. The entire purpose of this was to hope that the explosion would cause a fire and make everyone evacuate. William made a huge gulping sound as his eyes scaled the giant castle. "I- I don't suppose anyone has something I can light this stick with?" William said. That's when Sol got his sword out as a reminder.
"You'll have to make a run for it as soon as they open those gates." Sol said. Brook got both of his knives out. "If anything goes wrong, I'll come down there to help the best I can." Brook said to help William feel a little more at ease. Even after William starts his distraction, Brook would still have to stay on the sidelines. Willing to jump in to save William in a life or death situation was the best he could do.
William and Sol climbed down from a nearby ladder and waited in an alleyway. Brook waited quietly, patiently staring at the gates like they were a jack in a box about ready to open up. Sol lit up his sword lightly, ready to light the stick of dynamite in William's hands as soon as the doors opened again. "Just out of curiosity, how long is the field between the plaza and the castle?" William asked.
"It should be at least two or three blocks wide." Sol said as he looked at each civilian's home as a comparison. "I know how long each dynamite I make takes to explode. If that's the case then I'm really gonna have to run as fast as I can and make sure my throw goes long." William admitted how tough his role was.
