There weren't enough words to describe what Sol was feeling. A couple of days passed since Marvin and Apollo died and reconstruction of the castle already began, although in Sol's eyes he thought they shouldn't bother rebuilding anyway. The old castle was filled with dark history that was finally coming to light. Sol was glad it burned down. He could no longer blame Apollo- or rather in this case Ipos for being angry. This time Sol completely understood how he felt.
Even still, Sol had no intention of suddenly feeling angry with the family he grew up with. It wasn't his family's fault for what their heritage did in the past but Ipos just wanted someone to blame for everything that happened. The king of the past killed Sol so that's why Ipos got rid of his father Willard as fast as possible... because he was the current king of today.
When Lisandra was turned back to normal, she gave a humiliating speech in the plaza, apologizing for everything that happened, promised to make new laws while getting rid of the questionable ones, and promised that nothing like this will ever happen again under her rule.
Even after all that, they still had to attend the funeral for those who lost their lives. This would include several civilians, Krissy's crew, Marvin, and Willard. Sol was the only one left grieving for Ipos.
After the funeral was over, Sol retreated to sit on top of a building looking at the empty space ahead of where a castle once stood. He was there thinking to himself for a while, wondering what it was that he was supposed to do next. Out of nowhere Sol could suddenly hear the sound of someone making their way up the ladder behind him.
Naturally, Sol got up from his spot and turned around to see who it was. It of course had to be Brook, who would be the only one to actually know where Sol liked to hang out. This was their usual meet up spot so it was only natural that he would find him here. "Hey Brook." Sol greeted him. Brook looked back down the ladder. "I told you he would be up here!" Brook said that as if he was talking to someone else.
One by one, others made their way to the roof right after Brook. Joining Sol and Brook on the roof this time was Lilac, Ella, William, Krissy, Crystal, and Jordan. The first thing Crystal did when she got up to the roof was to run up and hug Sol immediately. Sol couldn't help but hug her right back. After they were done Crystal kept her hands on his shoulders. "You shouldn't have just ran off after the funeral. Do you have any idea how much mom and I missed you?!" Crystal said to him.
"I know I shouldn't have done that. I just... have a lot on my mind." Sol said. Crystal took a few steps back to respect his personal space. "I understand. Apollo- or I mean... Ipos was once your family too. I won't blame you if you start to hate us. I'm sorry." Crystal said. Sol had already told everyone what he saw in Ipos's memories. "I can't hate you for what your ancestors did. It was never your fault. But my father Ipos was just... so angry with the world and he took it all out on you. I feel like I'm actually to blame for all of this." Sol said with a guilty expression.
Jordan stepped forward. "If there's anyone to blame then it's me, I failed to protect you Crystal. I'm sorry." Crystal immediately bonked him on the head. "Stop apologizing for that. Didn't I already tell you? I was the one protecting you back there. It was the other way around." Jordan tried to think about what she meant by that.
When Crystal, Jordan, and Lilac tried to fight off that elf, Crystal left her sword sticking straight out of the ground to show no sign of struggle. Crystal had already explained to Jordan before that if she didn't go with Amaterasu then something might have happened to him. Crystal was clearly the one protecting him instead and Jordan never even thought to realize that.
"So where do you think that elf is now? We never saw her when we were trying to take back Luminar." Jordan exclaimed. "You mean Amaterasu? She said she was going to head back to the Kingdom of Terra. Ipos may have been defeated but the war he started over there hasn't dissipated." Crystal told him. War. Every time Jordan heard that word, he was reminded of his home town.
