Chapter Fifteen

That night I have trouble sleeping. I can't believe I did that...twice! I'm so freaking stupid. Francis is wonderful and he deserves someone better than me! But I can't tell him. It will break his heart.

In the morning I change into a plain white gown with lace at the back. Today we have to do this thing where the future king and queen white down a secret and ties it to a tiny boat and it sails off to see. For someone, somewhere, maybe in the future to see it. To see our secrets.

I walk out into the hall and see Bash. I turn the other direction and start walking. "Mary, wait!" He calls after me.

He runs to me and says "I'm sorry I let that happen but we can't avoid eachother. We have to act normal!"

"I don't care what we have to do! You stay away from me! And you stay away from Francis! If I find out you told anyone, I will kill you myself!" I spit out at him.

He stands there stunned. He turns around and starts walking.

"Do I make myself clear?" I ask.

"Yes, m'lady." He says and walks around the corner.

I go outside and see Francis. I walk to him and smile a bit. "We haven't spend much time together lately. So I was thinking after this event today, we could pack up and stay in the summer castle for a week or two." He says.

"Kings and queens don't just leave whenever they want to." I say.

"Ah yes, but we are not kings and queens yet. We should enjoy our bit of freedom while we have it." He says.

I smile and say "Okay. But only for a week."

We go to where the event is and sit at the tables where we'll be writing our secrets.

The hand us a paper and a feather with ink on it. I don't know how to write this down. I don't know if I want to. I guess I could write something else down.

I try peeking over at Francis paper but he says "No peeking!"

I look back at mine and write "I kissed Sebastian." After I tie mine to the boat and wait for Francis.

Once he ties his, we push our boat out into the water at the same time. I wonder what Francis wrote. I wonder if it was something bad. Probably not. He's not a bad person. Not like me.

Also sorry I haven't updated in a while. I was sick for like the past week and then I got an ear infection. Ugh! But I will try to update soon. Byee!!
