"Excuse me ma'am, the queen wants to meet with you." A servant says as she enters my room.
"Okay. I'll be there in a minute." I say. She leaves my room and I wonder why the queen wants to talk to me. She barely ever talks to me.
I walk to her room and enter, seeing that the king and Francis is also there.
Oh no. Do they know I kissed Bash?
"What is it?" I ask.
"Close the door." The queen says. I close the door and walk to them.
"The queen of England died on her way home. Some bandits killed her and her guards." The king says.
"Okay? Why'd you tell me?" I ask.
"Well..someone has to claim the thrown, a relative to her. And after they followed her family tree they found out your a relative to her." The queen says.
"So...you want me to claim the thrown?" I ask.
"Yes. Just imagine how powerful you could be with three countries by your side. Three armies. You would be invincible." She says.
"What if I don't want to rule three counties? Its a lot of responsibility I'm not sure I'm ready for." I say.
"It's not about responsibility. It's about power! You will be remembered in history as the most powerful queen." The king says.
"I don't care if they remember me in history. I'll be the one ruling, not you! You won't have to deal with all the wars and threats and bandits!" I say.
"Mary, I know its a lot of responsibility. Definitely more than I could handle. But you are strong enough. And with three armies no one would even dare to threaten you. You would be the one everyone has to listen to. You could change the world. Make it a better place." The queen says.
"I don't know. I have to think about it." I say.
"You have to think fast. Your not the only relative of the queen. There will be others reaching for the thrown. The question is...will you reach it first?" The king says.
"No, the question is do I even want to reach it." I say.
"You won't be alone Mary. I'll be there to rule with you. We could change the world together. With three armies no one would even reach us if they sent an assassin. We would be safe and happy. Our children will grow up feeling safe, knowing we have the power to protect them. A lot of power." Francis says.
I sigh and say "Like I said, I will think about it." I say.
"You have till tomorrow morning to decide. Choose wisely. Life won't be easy ether way." The king says.
