"Seriously? I thought that was impossible! How?" I was so overwhelmed by the fact that they possibly had a plan to get out of here. There was a chance I could see the outside world.
"We don't have it all together yet but we do have a solid idea figured out."
I was so happy I didn't even know how to explain it.
"Well, could you give me a quick run down of how and what we're doing?"
He began explaining, "Well, before I fell into this group, I did a small time job for Dynam. I basically just filed the documents of every prisoner in this prison. I still do it to this day but not as much as I used to. Anyway, I went in there a day or two ago and I looked at the documents of all the new prisoners to see if there was anyone worth siding with. I caught a glimpse of a file titled Allice. You've probably heard of him, he runs Block C now."
I cut in, "Yeah, that little prick stole my job."
"Yes, I heard. But don't worry, that's good. Because of that, everything falls in perfect order. Let me explain. I looked into Allice's file a little bit more. He had the cleanest background check I had ever seen. Besides the reason he was here for. Hacking. He had hacked many banks, wiring hundreds and thousands of dollars into his back account. After successfully getting away with that, he hacked a military base back on Earth. He got caught and was sent to Crodedge SEC, then after trying to hack his way out, his rating went up and he recently got sent here."
I understood what he was getting at at first, but it wasn't enough to explain what we all would be doing in order for this so called escape plan to work. "So what's the deal? Are you going to tell me how this whole thing is going to work out?"
"Here. Take this." Jaquil said handing me a folded up piece of note paper, "Read this as soon as possible." He told me. I began unwrapping it to start reading, "No, not here." He added and stopped me from opening it. "Now be on your way. I hear you have a job to attend."
"Well yeah but not for another hour or so."
"Well maybe that's just enough time to do a little reading. Now be on your way." He told me and then him and 304 made their way in a different direction. I on the other hand decided to leave the court yard and make my way to my cell where I locked the cell door behind me and opened the piece of paper. It was thin paper, almost like if I intended to pull a little more on it, the paper would rip instantly. I began reading over it aloud.
"Step 1: Befriend Hacker Allice.
Step 2: Have Logan go into the security center when feeding prisoner #500 and steal prison guard uniforms.
Step 3: Logan gives uniforms to Jaquil. Jaquil dresses up as a guard and makes his way to the security center where he steals laptops for Allice to use.
Step 4: At night, when everyone is locked up, Allice uses laptops to deactivate the crime rating watches and security cameras while everyone else (dressed up as guards) escapes into the security center with the other real guards.
Step 5: Once in the security center and believed to be a regular day guard, all including Jaquil, 304, Jason, and Allice escape through the security exit.
Step 6: Run for our lives."
There was many parts of the plan that I didn't understand but would soon be explained to me by Jaquil or Allice. But I'm guessing Jaquil spent many hours going over this. I'm sure a brief conversation discussing the details would give me excellent info. But until then, I should probably follow the list of orders given. It was time to speak to Allice about our affairs. Of course, I wouldn't come off too strong about it, I can't simply tell him we're about to break out of the universe's most locked down prisons known to man. No. I had to get him to trust me and know me well, and afterwards, get him to do my dirty work. The hacking.
I hid the escape plan carefully under the mattress of my bed and left my cell. It was almost time for me to feed the prisoner. But I also had to talk with Allice. To do both, I had to make my way down to the cafeteria. To get the food, and to meet with Allice. I planned to do both.
I was getting sick of this long hallway. I just wanted to be out of this place, and hopefully that would happen soon. enough. Once in the cafeteria, I ordered the food for prisoner 500. It's a good thing it didn't come out of my digi-SEC's, I wasn't going to pay for it. Once I had the plate of food in my hand, I went and sat next to Allice who was up doing his job. Watching the prisoners come and go. I went over with only a few minutes to spare and started up a conversation.
"So anything happen lately worth telling?" I asked him.
"No, not really. People come. Get their meals. Eat. And leave."
"Ah, I see. Well I just want to make something clear, I'm not against you. For anything. In fact, I might need your help with some things later on. Would you be interested?" I asked sort of anonymously.
"Well, yeah I guess. It just depends what I would be doing. Why? What's going on?"
It's sort of funny. He reacted the same way I did when 304 offered the certain proposition but didn't exactly tell me what it was. He'll find out about it eventually, just like I did. Not right now though.
"You'll find out sooner or later. I'll come to you, or someone will and will fill you in on the details. Just remember it will be in your best interest to say yes."
"Umm. Okay?" He said before I got up and began walking towards the security center with the plate of food.
