I stayed silent and thought about the way I was going to escape. Illegal, and then legal. That's the way it was. So no. I wasn't escaping. "No." I told him. "Not anymore." And technically, I was being honest. I was not attempting to escape, I was attempting to walk out of here a free man.
"Then what are you doing?" 304 asked me very curiously.
"I'm taking advantage of a loophole. That's all really." I explained but not with great detail. So obviously he asked for me to tell him more. But at this time, 304 and I were standing on good feelings right now. We both had mixed feelings about each other. Maybe he wants to break out, maybe he doesn't. I think he's working for Reckt and Dynam, maybe he's not. There are endless possibilities about anything right now and I was scared to take all the risks of them. But very soon, they were all going to start, and I just had to sit back and watch how it all goes.
"304, I want to tell you everything right now, I really do, but I am keeping things to myself because if things go wrong, I don't want you to be able to say I did it."
"You really think I would do that?" 304 asked me like I had hurt his feelings. God, he was a grown man and he couldn't take a little bit of an opinion. What kind of prisoner was he?
"304, don't take offense to it, but when the time comes, everything is going to go down. There won't be an ECO SEC when I'm done here."
304 was a bit upset that I wouldn't tell him the plan, but for some reason right now, it wasn't just him, I didn't want to tell anyone but I suppose for this plan to work, I needed to tell someone. But not 304 at the moment. Someone else.
304 was about to leave my cell when the whole room was ambushed by guards. Rifles were aimed at us and we were screamed at to get onto the floor. I rolled from my bed down to the side of it and 304 was shoved down to his knees and then hit to fall down. He was laying next to me and I stared at all the weapons under my bed. If they even caught a glance at all of this, I was going to be executed for sure. Luckily, this was the plan.
304 shouted at the top of his lungs.
I went along with him and screamed as well even though I knew the exact reason. Dexter walked through the door with Dynam with him. "Stand these men up." Dynam commanded. The guards patted us down and brought us to our feet.
"What the hell is this all about Dynam?" 304 asked trying to make himself scary.
Dynam took a step forward and whispered into 304's ear, "A little birdy told me that you two had a plan to kill Reckt. I'm here to make sure that doesn't happen."
Of course 304 had no idea about anything that was going on, he had no idea of the plans, he had no idea what this was all going to turn into in a little bit. I sat there and acted like I was irritated upon no return. Dynam laughed at me and asked the guards to bring us to the security center. Our arms were grabbed behind our backs and we were picked up. 304 began screaming as loud as he could, kicking and turning trying to struggle out of the guard's hold. But it was useless, once we were in the security center they locked us inside a large room. It sort of looked like the room Reckt commands in, like the head room of the prison. The guards sat us down into two chairs, both facing the back of one another and tied our hands together so we had no way possible to escape.
Dynam stood in front of us and we stared at him with anger as the other guards left. He crossed his arms and chuckled. "Reckt is making a speech to the entire prison in about an hour and I don't need you two disrupting it, so I'm going to stay and babysit you for a little while."
"We weren't planning to do anything! I swear! At least I wasn't." 304 admitted but Dynam didn't care. I watched the entrance forever it seemed like until Dexter walked through the doors. I aimed my head to Dynam and asked, "Can we at least get something to drink? I feel like I'm dying of thirst." He thought about it but before he could say no, Dexter interrupted and spoke, "I'll get them something." Dynam didn't refuse, he just let Dexter leave the room and attend to our needs. My needs. However, I wasn't really thirsty, I just wanted to get out of here.
"We took you guys in. We treated you like our own. We made sure nothing got in your way. And this is how you repay us? Killing us? Or attempting to at least. Because, let's just say it ain't gonna happen!" Dynam yelled as he slammed his fist down onto a table. Dexter entered the room again with three coffee cups filled with something to drink. "I got you something to drink too boss." Dexter said directed to Dynam. Dynam thanked him for the cup and took it from him. Dynam set the cup down onto the table behind him. The table consisted of a few things, a radio, a microphone which probably announced to the whole system, his coffee cup, and monitors for every camera around. Dexter then began holding the cups out for us to drink and we did.
"Where's Reckt?" I asked Dynam before he got too out of hand.
"This isn't about her right now! This is between you and me! And right now we have a little problem. I know you've been having conversations with one of my officers." Dynam pulled out his gun that was latched to the side of him and aimed it at Dexter. "Traitor." Dynam told him before shooting a hole through his chest. Dexter stumbled back and tried to talk but couldn't, by the looks of it, he couldn't even breathe. Dexter walked backwards trying to keep his balance before he collapsed into a wall and slid down it leaving a streak of blood where he slid. He held the wound tight.
"What the hell's wrong with you?" I screamed at Dynam but he focused all his attention on Dexter. He just laid there on the ground with his back against the wall. He tried so hard to talk and form the right words. Dynam laughed and took a sip of his drink and then set it right back onto the table. "This is what happens when you affiliate with criminals Dexter. Don't you know that?"
"You just drank poison asshole! Saragit Poison!" Dexter yelled at him. Dynam grabbed the coffee cup and screamed before smashing it onto the ground. He then stomped his way over to Dexter and began beating his face in to the wall before emptying his clip into Dexter. He was dead. I needed out of this chair now! Things were going south but not too south just yet. Dexter wasn't supposed to tell him it was poison, but I guess weird things go through your head when you're about to die. I tried to reach for a piece of glass on the floor but couldn't reach it. I held my hands behind my back and began scavenging through my pockets and I found it. The metal spring I used to pick lock the door a while back. I pulled it out of my pocket and began scraping it on the rope over and over, faster and faster until snap! It broke, I shot up from my chair to still see Dynam beating it Dexter's face on the other side of the room. I hit the floor grabbing the sharpest piece of glass I could and running over to Dynam.
Dynam spun around and grabbed my hand before I was able to kill him. He held my hand and kicked me in the stomach knocking me to the ground. From there I swung at his feet slicing them and hearing him yell and fall down to the floor with me. Dynam got a grip of his gun and attempted to shoot me but he wasted his last bullet on Dexter.
"Dynam! You're dead anyway! Just let us go!" I screamed as I pulled myself up from the ground. He did the same.
"Logan! From the day you arrived, I wanted to rip out your guts. Today's the day I do it!" He yelled throwing his gun at me, I ducked from it but when I came back up he was running at me. I just let him tackle me to the ground. He hit me left and right and my face started to bruise up fast. But suddenly, he began to lose energy quick. He couldn't even talk. As he was on top of me continuing to try and beat me to death, he looked down to see the piece of glass stabbed into him. When he tackled me, he basically ran right into it. I pushed it further into him and then kicked him off. Dynam rolled over to the side of me. I hopped to my feet and saw him sitting there struggling to pull the glass out. I stood over him and stepped on the edge of the glass sticking out and stomped on it pushing it as far as it would go into him. He took one last breath and then he was gone.
