I'm sure what 304 just told me, about not remembering Earth was just a simple side effect of being in ECO SEC for far too long. I decided to give him his space and walk around for a little bit. I walked down the steps and watched as several people were mounting objects on the wall, breaking useless items, welding materials together. Far beyond my point of knowledge. There were many guards walking around, carrying guns. It kind of made me laugh. Thinking about it was funny, the fact that these people were criminals and I was a criminal, and everyone here was a criminal, yet we were all working together like an organization to take out actual non criminals.

I saw Jaquil in the distance talking with the the only guy I trusted in this whole place, besides Jaquil and 304 themselves, Phil was the one I wanted to stand by just in case anyone thought I was out of place in here. I didn't want to start any fights around here.

I hurried up to Jaquil and Phil and over heard them talking about Jaquil being shipped out. I thought about encouraging him to stay, but it wasn't my decision. He had been here longer than any of us and he needed to go home.

"Phil, I'm getting pretty hungry. You promised a meal?" Phil smiled and handed me the wrapped up t shirt with the saragit inside it. He then pointed down the hall a ways down to some doors.

"There's a kitchen in there. Just hand this to one of the chefs and they'll cook up something for you and your friends." I followed the orders exactly, handed the chef the disgusting insect creature and within a few minutes. 304, Jaquil, and I were snacking down on the wrapped up skin of a the poisonous saragit. Of course, the skin wasn't poisonous so we were completely fine. It wasn't the best tasting thing in the world, I would have rather had a burger but this was just as good at the moment.

Once done with the delicious meal, I went behind the doors again without Jaquil and 304 and asked the chef if I could keep the left over poison in a container. He tried to question why I would want such a thing but I avoided answering and eventually received it.

So there I was, hanging out with 304 and Jaquil, hiding a jar of deadly poison, and waiting for Phil to show us where to sleep at. Eventually once he was done with the business he was dealing with, he took us down a hallway to an area of different bunk beds. Ones similar to those at the prison. Probably where they got them at. I sat down in it, secretly placing the bottled up poison beneath my bed and slowly drifting off to sleep. As did 304 and Jaquil.

I dreamt about being back in the prison. I could see myself waking up in a cold and locked up cell. Putting on my shirt and walking out the cell door and heading for breakfast. It was so vivid that I was actuallys scared that it might not all be a dream. But before I started worrying too much, I eventually awoke in the same place I fell asleep in. And my poison was still hidden down there as well. Now what I planned to do with that poison you might wonder? I haven't the faintest idea of what I might do with such a thing.

I left it there and looked around, Jaquil was gone and 304 was just awakening as well. I got up from my bed and shook 304 and told him to hurry. I ran down the hall, through the coridor and up the stairs to the desert outside and sure enough. An enormous cargo ship was getting ready to launch and go back to Earth. Jaquil was seconds away from getting on. 304 ran up from the stairs and yelled, "Jaquil! Wait!" And ran closer. Jaquil looked back at us and smiled. He told the pilot to wait a second and he came to talk to us.

"I didn't want to wake you guys." Jaquil told us. "I'm not very good at goodbyes. Logan, you're a strong man. I've witnessed some large acts of courage and bravery from you. Don't worry, you'll get back to your daughter. I understand your decision to stay. To be honest, I would've stayed too, but I've enough of the life of crime. It's time to go home. My story's over." I could see a tiny glossed over tear forming from around his eye lids, he didn't want to leave us. We were basically his family, we were the ones he had came to know. We were the ones he could trust. He had been here for so long, I've only been here a little while and I'm already scared to see what Earth will be like. "304, when you came to ECO SEC, you really changed my vision of how I see people. There are good people out here. I don't understand why you're here or how someone like you could even do what you did. I've seen nothing but kindness in you, and I don't see how a man like you even belongs here. You deserve to get out of here too. We all do. It's been an honor gentlemen, I'll see you on the other side." We all laughed together as one small group, and that was it. Jaquil shut the ship door behind him, we all stepped back, and within a few minutes, he was no longer visible from the planet. He was gone.

This chapter was dedicated to Chris Murray (Coolbreeze8500) I suggest you check him out. His story The Friendship is turning out really good and should be checked out. Thanks. Chris won this dedication by being the first person to remind me Number 501 had 3K reads. There will also be a new one for 4K and 5K and on after that. If I get that far. I doubt I will... Prove me wrong.
