AN: Hi Everyone! So... I finally watched TKB3 and have lots of feelings and thoughts and what better place to share them than here!
I want to point out that the results of TKB3 will in no way affect how this story ends up-- I actually wrote this following chapter before watching the movie, though some themes are similar. I know that at this point this story digresses quite a bit from the original movies and I like it just like that. This world will continue to exist separately; these characters simply matured more quickly than the movie ones were able to
With that being said I agree with some of the things from TKB3 and disagree with some others and have therefore made a list
Agree:
I agree that movie Elle needed to make choices for herself -- 100%, there was no way that she could continue on spreading herself thin for everyone in her life. That plot point made sense.
I agree with the nostalgic scenes and effects they put into the movie . I hated those parts because they made be so so so so emotional but I thought it was beautiful.
I agree that Elle and Lee's friendship needed to change and develop in order to grow. The rules needed to be broken.
This might come as a shock but I actually agree with all breakups in the movie. We have to remember they're in high school and with the way that Noah was behaving as BF in the movie and Elle was they needed to grow. So I agree with Noah's decision to a point.
Disagree:
The Marco thing -- did anyone else feel like this was unnecessary and aggressive? Also highly mishandled by all parties involved-- Elle, Noah and Marco?
The Chloe role- underplayed, wish she was a bigger part in all of this.
Jake was missing... I get that he's my own fictional character but god wouldn't he have been awesome in the movie?! LOL okay just joking on this one
The flashforward semi cliffhanger - we all know they end up together right? So I just don't know why they chose to be so ambiguous about it.
This might upset the fans but I have problems with Jacob Elordi's resistance to doing another movie. I do feel that this movie is ending where it needs to but I also feel Jacob Elordi has been a little ungrateful about the opportunities that the Kissing Booth franchise has afforded him. He says in interviews that he would never play the role again and to me it just seems a little... rude?
Again totally my thoughts ONLY. Overall still love the series and thought all the actors did amazing. Sad to see it end but happy that it happened. Without further ado!
