Chloe's POV

"Oh Bullocks!" I exclaimed as best I could as I walked into the den where the Flynns and Jake were. Lee and Jake were playing some video game with guns that I didn't see the point of. The house had been a bit more quiet the last couple days with Marco off, still too embarrassed from his pantsing I'm sure, and Elle being "busy" according to Lee.

I hadn't seen her since she left the pool Sunday morning. It was now Monday night and as far as I knew her and Noah hadn't talked further. I knew this because I hadn't seen it with my own eyes and also because he was still being a tad mopey. Really, I thought he was being a little bit of a pansy, but that's okay because I had not yet fully enacted my plan.

"Bullocks!" Lee mimicked with a smile trying his best accent. "Not bad bro," Jake looked impressed.

Mrs. Flynn rolled her eyes at them. "What wrong sweetie?" she asked me concerned. "Everything okay with your parents?"

"Sure, sure, they're fine but Noah, Jake," I said in my best remorseful tone, making Jake look up from his controller and Noah to knit his eyebrows together. "I'm so, so, sorry but there's been a change of plans," I said a pout on my lips.

"There's been a family emergency and we've had to cancel the charter in Santa Barbara," I put my hands up in the air.

"Oh my gosh! What kind of family emergency?" Mr. Flynn asked worriedly. "Is there anything we can do?"

I froze my mouth slightly ajar. Honestly, I hadn't really thought this far into the plan. I could see Lee looking concerned that I was about to blow it.

"Oh no it's fine, it's just my...my Auntie's dog," I stuttered. I could see Noah's eyebrow go up; he was not buying it. I had to elaborate.

"M-My Aunt's dog is so ill and it's her boat that we were supposed to be using! So... we've just had to cancel the whole thing! It's dreadful really! A horrible accident with the sheep that it herds, mistook it for one of their own and you know how that goes," I rambled on. I could see Lee trying his best not to laugh while Jake looked at me with a 'what the fuck' look on his face. Noah was squinting suspiciously at me.

"Right..." Jake gave me a look that said he was picking up what I was doing, "So what's the plan?" he asked simply, looking to Noah. Noah looked at me expectantly. I pivoted.

"Well, Mrs. Flynn your hospitality has been lovely and your home is so beautiful. I don't think I'll be quite ready to go back to the cold streets of Boston quite yet," I said really playing up my accent as if I were an orphan, "Would you mind if we rode out the rest of the spring break here, in L.A., in your beautiful home?" I asked hopefully. She smiled back at me knowingly. Was she on to me too? I could feel myself sweating.

"You don't even have to ask," she exclaimed.

I looked to Jake and Noah. Jake just shrugged, "Fine with me, your house is sick," he spoke to the Flynns in general.

Noah was looking at me with a highly skeptical face, his lips to the side while chewing on a toothpick. "Sure, whatever," he finally said.

"Great!" I let go of a breath I didn't even know I was holding.

"Oh honey," Mrs. Flynn suddenly, "I'm so sorry but we'll be going away Tuesday. We didn't think you'd be staying so your dad planned a little vineyard trip for us but we can cancel..." she looked to Mr. Flynn who did not seem to be too fond of that idea.

"No!" Lee stepped in, "I mean..." he chuckled and calmed himself, "No mom you guys have been looking so forward to that trip. Noah doesn't care right?" he looked to Noah.
