Elle's POV

"What could those two be talking about?" Noah asked me as I sat on his lap, wiggling around to the song playing from the speakers.

I looked over to Chloe and Olivia laughing together about something. I smiled. Olivia was definitely the most bearable of the OMG girls. Olivia and I had actually become pretty good friends since she dated Tuppen for a little and she was technically the reason I ended up having to kiss Noah at the booth.

I shrugged, "I don't know. Olivia's pretty cool though."

Noah looked at me surprised. "A lot has changed if you're friends with the OMG girls now," he laughed, kissing my neck a little making me feel warm and not from the drinks I had.

"I can't believe you bet against me with the soccer ball," I sighed in disbelief.

Noah pulled away. "I'm sorry Shelly we've all had a lot to drink. Altered judgment you know," he said with a pout. "I'll make it up to you," he said with a smirk as I leaned down and kissed his pout away.

"You better," I mumbled onto his lips until I heard a ruckus going on by the pool.

"What's all that?" Lee asked slurred looking over to the bunch of football players gathered there.

"That looks like your folk," Marco said to Tuppen who was trying to putt a golf ball into a red cup against Jake. Chloe and Olivia looked over too.

From all the voices, I heard the one word I could not stand. I know Noah heard it to from the way he tensed under me.

Noah had angrily called Lee it once when they we younger and I literally slapped Noah in the face for it and didn't talk to him for a month. Noah never used that word again and still cringed every time he heard it used by his teammates. If there was one thing I hated it was ignorance.

Noah's arm tightened around my waist as I heard one of the football players yell it again, "Fucking faggots."

I saw red. I hated that word. It was ignorant and mean and hate filled and I was not going to sit back while a bunch of jocks threw it around like it was a simple hello. I didn't care what the reason was they were saying. There was simply no reason to use it ever.

I immediately jumped off of Noah's lap and headed straight for them. "Damnit!" I heard Noah say getting up after me, his reaction probably slowed by all the liquor in his system.

"Elle wait!" Marco yelled after me. It was too late.

"She's going to kill them," I heard Noah say. Correct. I was.

I pushed my way through the crowd, "Get the fuck out of my way!" I screamed to see what was happening.

The group of wasted football players let me through not before throwing lewd comments my way as well. Assholes. There, at the edge of the pool, was one of the football players, Perry. He was holding Ollie by the collar as Miles was trying to get in between them. It looked like Ollie's head was wet from being dipped into the pool.

"Leave him alone!" I yelled as some of the other football players mumbled a non-threatened "Ooo" to my anger.

Perry looked at me over his shoulder, a nasty leer coming onto his face. "If it isn't the Flynn leftover here to save the class faggots," he said again.
