Noah's POV
"It's never going to work," I watched Jake as he juggled the football between his two hands. This was try number 4 and I'm pretty sure this would end with my brother or Jake with a broken nose, or a combination of the two.
What they were trying to accomplish was Jake jumping into the pool while throwing a football to Lee who was trying to do a double flip off the diving board before catching said football and dunking it into the basketball hoop. They couldn't get the timing right. Last attempt the ball almost spiraled right into Lee's face mid flip. If my mom was there I'm sure she would've had a panic attack.
This attempt was no better. This time, the ball didn't hit anyways near Lee's face. Instead, it went right into his family jewels. I had to jump into the pool to pull him out because I worried the pain would distract him too much that he might drown.
"I think I'm good on this trick!" Jake yelled from the other side of the pool, his mouth curved down at his conclusion.
"Yeah, me too," Lee squeaked, curled in fetal position on a pool chair, Jake laughing an apology front the seat next to him.
I shook my head and picked up the football, spinning it in one hand while I walked to the end of the pool opposite the basketball hoop. I gripped it and pulled my arm back. It easily spiraled to the perfect point of the basketball hoops backboard. The ball wobbled a little before falling right through the hoop. I smirked, "Still got it," I said out loud but to myself.
"You sure do," Elle's voice said from behind me, a tone to it that was music to my ears.
I smirked. It was weird how excited I was to see her at all times. The girls had been gone for most of the day and I had to admit I wanted her home already knowing our time was limited.
I turned and found her surprisingly close to me. She was wearing a one piece that was giving me major Baywatch vibes. Her hand was on one hip the other one was holding up a credit card to me, "You did not have to do that you know."
I grabbed the card from her. "I know I didn't have to but I wanted to," I shrugged innocently.
She sighed that cute, condescending smile at me. "Well thank you," she said. I looked down at her lips.
"Don't worry, you'll get a proper thank you when we don't have an audience," she promised, her head gesturing to our friends all hanging out poolside.
I grunted slightly at the test of my patience. It was hard not touching her, or just being able to act how I wanted to act with her. Especially since Lee seemed to be taking a special interest in us after this morning. This "taking it slow" thing was really challenging, especially when she would look that cute around me.
I noticed with the way that her bathing suit was cut down the sides showed off her figure of course but more importantly I could see the little constellation that was right on her ribcage right under her left breast again. I always found Elle's body to be perfect, but this new addition was extremely sexy.
My hand somehow found its way to her side, my thumb just barely stroking the ink and I saw her eyes darken.
"When did you get this?" I asked, unable to stop the raspiness in my own voice. She eyed behind me briefly to make sure our friends didn't notice us.
"Around the end of November," She bit her lip. "I can show it to you later," she added innocently. I knew she didn't mean it innocently.
My hand was still in the same place and I felt it grip her side a little tighter at the suggestion. We both knew this was a surefire gesture that I wanted her.
