After the pain was gone, I was back to my life. As my 12th final exams were on, I was completely focused on studies.
After my exams, one evening I went out for shopping. As it was a long summer vacation for us, I thought of buying some new clothes and shoes for me. It was around 8:30 in the evening, I was standing in the queue for share auto.

Share auto is where people going to the same destination share an auto with a fixed fare.

I was sharing my auto with an elderly woman who was sitting one end, I was on the other end and in between us was a guy, properly combed hair, clean shaved, dressed in a light blue shirt. Our journey was about of 15 mins. As we began this guy who was sitting next to me started to talk to me.

He casually began by saying, "Summer shopping", I was like, "yeah, I just gave my board exams and these are for vacation". He said, "Oh wow, that's nice. I gave my 12th last year and now I am pursuing my bachelors in commerce." To which I replied, "That's good to hear."

We had a silent moment for about a minute. After which he peeked in my bag and said, "Those are nice shoes".

I froze for a minute there.

Not because of what he said but what he did when saying it. He had gently moved his finger on my thigh as he said it. I understood his intentions but the move took me back in shock. I got myself together and said thank you.
He asked my for my number, I was in that zone of getting touched, I took his phone typed in my number and got down at my stop.
