"I'm not afraid of commitment. I'm afraid of surrendering control too quickly - of placing my heart into hands that won't know how to hold it."

A few days later
"Hey sissy!"
I looked up, my mother and Dina came walking into my boutique with matching outfits on.
"Y'all look cute." I giggled setting my phone down.
"Thank you. You never wanna watch with us." Dina said placing her bag down.
"You look cute. How's the officer?" My mother questioned.
I sighed, "I wish I knew..."
"What's wrong?" Dina frowned.
"Nothing-"
"What drove him off now?" They both groaned.
"Nothing. We're fine." I lied flashing them both a warm smile.
Honestly I haven't heard from Kenny in a couple days now. Ever since I ignored his calls over the weekend he hasn't been picking up my calls, responding to my texts or even calling me back.
"Well... I wanna meet him-"
"Me too-"
"No!" I quickly shook my head, "that will definitely drive him off." _______________________
"Toni!" Milan greeted once I walked into his tattoo shop.
"Hey." I said with a small wave looking around.
"What brings you by?" He smiled fixing his needle.
He had a customer with him. I bit my lip before I sat down.
"It's Bruno..." I admitted.
Milan knew about Bruno, he was the only one I actually felt comfortable talking too. He was like my brother, I could always come to him whenever I felt down, lost or fucked up.
"What did he do?"
"What doesn't he do..." I sighed.
He raised his eyebrows before he got busy working on his customer's tattoo. I sat there until he was done which didn't take long at all. I want a tattoo but I'm not that up for all that pain so I'll just pass.
"Thank you I love it." His customer said.
He smiled, "my assistant Nadia in the front will help you with aftercare and billing." He told her.
