"Relax. They're gonna love you."
"Yeah grandma loves everyone." Mariah said.
Kenny rubbed my shoulders as he rang the doorbell. I was a nervous wreck, I can't believe I agreed to this. I was finally meeting Kenny's parents. Unlike myself that only had one parent to offer, Kenny had two.
"Relax." Kenny whispered to me kissing my neck.
I sighed letting out a breathe. The door opened and there stood his mother, Zelda I know this because he has a picture of her in his house and we've spoken of her before.
"Grandma!" Mariah squealed hugging her.
"Hi Mimi. You've gotten taller in these past 14 days." She giggled ruffling Mariah's hair.
"Thank you, I'm trying to be as tall as my daddy." Mariah grinned.
"Hey ma." Kenny smiled hugging her.
"Hello ms Zelda." I said once she placed her attention on me.
"Hello, who do I have the honor of meeting?" She raised her eyebrows.
"I'm Toni-"
"My daddy's girlfriend." Mariah concluded causing ms Zelda's eyes to go wide.
"Kenneth your son brought a woman home!" She yelled into the house.
Immediately loud noises erupted as Kenny palmed his face just then his father came rushing up to the front door.
"Did I mention how nosey my parents are?" Kenny said looking at me.
I chuckled shaking my head.
"Agh whatever! We're not that bad. Come inside." Ms Zelda waved stepping to the side.
"Gosh you're beautiful. I'm Kenneth, yes your boyfriend done stole my name-"
"Hush! You wanted him to have your initials." Zelda scolded pushing his father to the side making me giggle.
This wasn't so bad.
"You look very pretty. It's about time Kenny bring a fine woman home for him to settle down with." His mother boosted as we followed her into the living room.
"Kenny. Come here." His father called waving him to the backyard.
