The present: Maahi's cabin
Maahi didn't get a lot of time to fall in love with her new room for the next few days. But she did anyway. Fall in love that is.
It was the most adorable little wooden cabin with stones for flooring. As she peered in, she saw the bright curtains held aside with floral ties, to let the sunlight stream in. The bed was a queen size with a burnt orange spread over it and a giant stack of pillows piled neatly. There was a couch with a throw folded over the backrest. She sighed, soaking in the beauty of the room, wondering how she was expected to work when everything about this cabin whispered in her ears to just keep her baggage aside and relax.
She then saw a door at the far end of the room. She kept her bags down and walked over to open it.
That's where she was introduced to her form of heaven.
It was a backyard covered with dewy grass. Her feet itched to go barefoot in it immediately. But she stood her ground. She would come back for this in the night after the event.
Solitude in the grass under the night sky would finally be hers.
Until then, she turned around and closed the door, making her way to the camera bag.
