Chapter 5: Innocent?
Michael basically spent the entire night at my house. The only reason he left was because he started tickling me and when I tickled him back, he started laughing uncontrollably and woke up my parents at 3 in the morning. He literally had to jump out of the window because there was no time for him to climb down the tree that was next to my window, but before he left we decided to hang out some more tomorrow since it was Sunday and neither of us wanted to be bored.
It was hilarious when my dad walked in to my room and asked if there was a guy in my bedroom. I kept denying him and he eventually gave up and left after 15 minutes of him asking questions like "Was that a man's voice I heard?"; "Why does it smell like aftershave in here?"; "Why were you laughing?"; or "Did that guy come up here?" I know that Michael heard everything my dad said because after my dad left I heard Michael trying to stifle his laugh and the bush he fell into rustling.
The next morning, I got up at 8 and started getting ready to go to his house. I managed to get ready and eat my breakfast, but when I got to the door my dad and mom called me into the living room. I mentally cursed at myself.
As soon as I came into the living room and closed the door, my dad said "Where are you going so early?" It technically was early since it was 8:30 in the morning.
"I was going to a friend's house." I said trying to feign innocence.
"Who's the friend?" he said trying to keep his temper down by clutching my mom's hand tight, but not enough to hurt her.
"Violet."
"Bullshit." My dad said as my mom hit his chest for cursing. My mom was never a fan of cursing, but my dad could care less. He was teaching Chris curse words at age 5.
"Fine, I was going to Michael's house."
"I knew that kid was trouble and I bet he was the voice I heard yesterday at 3 in the morning."
"He's not trouble and yes it was him that you heard because I invited him inside, but we didn't do anything. I was laughing because he tickled me and he started laughing because I tickled him back."
"I don't want you hanging out with him anymore, understand?"
"What! No! You can't tell me who I can and can't hang around with!" I said with my face red from screaming so loudly at my dad.
"Rick, you know who you remind me of?" my mom asked my dad.
"No. Who?" my dad said with a strained voice because he was trying not to scream at me.
"You sounded just like my father when you and I started hanging out and I said the exact same thing that Rosie said and here we are today with a daughter and son and we are married."
"That has nothing to do with this. That kid is trouble, I was a decent guy." my dad said to my mom.
My mom scoffed and said "As if, you and that boy could be twins. You were exactly like him at that age." She turned away from my dad and said to me "Rosie, go meet up with Michael I'm sure he's waiting for you."
I smiled with happiness and said "Thanks, mommy. I love you so much!" As I gave my mom her hug, I glared at my dad and said "Thank you, father."
I left before they could change their minds. When I got there, I knocked on their door and it revealed Tyler with a mad and confused look and said "What are you doing here?"
"I came to hang out with Michael."
Tyler reluctantly opened the door wider and allowed me to step in. As soon as I was inside, he shut the door and yelled "Daniela's here."
