The platform was a buzz for back to school. I was at the platform looking for my friends when I felt someone bump into me. I meet the bottle green eyes of Oliver Wood.

"Sorry. Oh hi lass."

"Hello Wood, have you seen any of my friends?"

"No I haven't but you're welcome to sit with me on the train until you find them."

"Ok." We enter the train and sit opposite each other.

There's an awkward silence until Oliver decides to speak.

"So I never heard back from you after that day with the others is everything alright?"

"Everything's fine I've just been busy."

He looks at me and goes to say something but decides to leave it. I hear laughing nearby and look out of the compartment door window to see Ron and Lavender laughing.

Now that me and Lavender are friends maybe she can give me some tips on how to look beautiful as I'm always getting cruel comments on how I look. Maybe I could surprise Ron with a makeover with Lavender's help. I sit back down and look at Oliver who is reading a book about quidditch.

I sigh and watch as the sight of Kings cross station is no longer in view. I feel my eyes grow heavy and rest my head on the window. I try to keep myself awake but I struggle. Oliver seems to notice and chuckles.

"Maybe you should get some sleep it's a long ride and you'll need your energy."

"But there's nowhere comfortable to sleep...--"

Before I can finish my sentence Oliver is sat next to me.

"You can rest your head on my shoulder if you would like."

I nod and hesitantly place my head on his shoulder and felt my eyes grow heavy once again, before I knew it sleep overtook me.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I woke up feeling full of energy because I hadn't slept at all the last few days. The truth is I haven't slept since I found out about my mum's accident. If I try to sleep I end up in a nightmare to which has haunted me from the second I shut my eye. The nightmare is that my mom is dead and that my dad has a new family and forgets about me and then there's my friends who are just so caught up in their own lives that they forget about my existence all together.

But that didn't happen while I was asleep on the train while my head was on Oliver's shoulder. Something about him gave me a sense of comfort and safety. I'm snapped out of my thoughts when I feel someone move next to me. I turn to look at Oliver to see him opening his eyes and yawning.

"Hello lass, did you sleep well?" he smiles at me weakly.

"Yes thank you and I didn't know you were asleep too."

"I didn't intend on falling asleep but I did." he says rubbing the sleep out of his eye.

"Well then how did you sleep?"

"It was the best sleep I've had in weeks oddly enough." he chuckles looking at me.

I smile weakly at him and open the compartment door.

"I'm going to get some air."

"Ok we still have about an hour left of the ride so I'll just be here."

"Ok." I leave the compartment in search of Lavender. I bump into some Slytherins who just mutter 'mudblood' under their breath. I walk past them quickly and find Lavender talking to Padma and Parvati. I walk in and stand there awkwardly while the girls are still talking and don't even notice me standing there.
