Hermione P.O.V

After everyone had finished their dinner Ginny practically drags me up to the corridors. I glance at Oliver before leaving the hall. He sends me a small smile before turning back to his conversation with the twins and Harry.

"Why am I being dragged Ginny?" I ask and she shoots me a grin. We stop walking and stand in a deserted corner.

"So you and Oliver were awfully smiley at dinner." She smirks at me. I blush.

"So what happened between you two?"

"We may have... um kissed..." I say hesitant for her response. She squeals in excitement.

"Oh my Merlin. So does mean you guys are like together."

"I don't know we didn't really talk about it."

"Then that's what you two have to discuss tonight at the feast."

I sigh. "Ok I guess."

I head to the Dumbledore's office I don't have any more lessons. I saw professor McGonagall this morning and told her I had family business to attend to. And when I said family business I meant that my parents had rescheduled to go to court today.

When I arrive in his office I see him sat in his chair.

"Ah Miss Granger. Here to deal with family business I presume?" I nod. He hands me some floo powder before saying a quick goodbye. I mutter a quick bye before throwing the floo powder and landing at home.

"Sweetheart is that you?" My mum says from the kitchen.

"Yes mum. I'm going to quickly change and then we can leave." I shout going into my room.

I change into a pair of blue ripped mom jeans and a baggy white t-shirt. I slipped on a pair of vans and looked myself over in the mirror. I applied some lip gloss, blush and mascara. I picked up a jacket and left the house with my mom already waiting in the car. I lock the door and climb in the passenger seat. My mom backs out of the drive and then turns the radio on.

I was shocked when I received a letter from my mum saying that they had changed the dates. After a few minutes we arrived at court and my mum and dad were sat across from each other with the judge in the center front of the room. I sat behind my mum and sent a small smile to my dad.

The judge starts his speech and I zone out trying to process everything that's happened over the last few days.

I snap out of my trance the same time the judge stops speaking. I look up at the judge who looks at my mum then my dad.

"It is the courts ruling to give full custody to Mrs Granger."

I hear my mums lawyer congratulate her.

"No." My dad whispers looking down. I'm heartbroken and feel tears sting my eyes.

"Mr Granger will have visitation rights every holiday."

My holidays are normally 6-7 weeks long I couldn't wait that long to see my dad. As if reading my mind my dad whispers to his lawyer.

"Can't you do something?" They both quietly argue before my dad speaks up.

"Your honor please. I mean every holiday that's every 6-7 weeks. That's not enough. I have to be with my daughter. It's not a question really I have to be with her sir please. I know it seems like a lot but for me it's not enough really. I-I haven't been away from her for more than one day since she was born."

"Mr Granger I would like to add... that this ruling is only temporary. "

"Oh good." My dad sighs in relief before sending me a short smile. I smile back with tears rolling down my cheeks. The judge starts speaking again.
