A/N - Sorry I haven't updated in a short while I have just been going through some personal issues. I hope you are enjoying the story so far. Please let me know what you think of the story and I will try to update as much as I can.
Hermione P.O.V
I tried to avoid my friends all morning but it didn't work so I just stood with them on the bridge until I realize Ginny is talking to me.
"I mean these tasks are supposed to test you, in the most brutal way, it's almost cruel. You got by the dragon mostly on nerve, I'm not sure it's going to be enough this time."
"I have to try and figure this egg out."
"You still haven't?" Ginny says. " Come on Hermione the next task is in 2 days."
"That's because I'm not sure what it means-"
"Hey Hermione." I hear Cedric say.
"Cedric."
"We'll catch you later Hermione." Harry says and the group waves before walking off.
"How are you?" He asks me.
"Spectacular." I say sarcastically. "Yourself?"
"Spectacular." He says with a smirk. "I heard you're still figuring out the egg."
"About that. Do you get it because I don't." He laughs. "What's so funny?"
"Maybe you should try putting it in water. And you can't just dab it under the tap it has to be fully underwater." I look at him confused. "You have a good day." He says with a laugh before walking off.
I go to the dorms and get the egg before heading into the bathroom. I lock the door with enchantment and put a silencing charm. I walk over to the bath on turn on the taps. When the bath is quite full I turn the taps off and grab the egg. I put the egg underwater and open it. I take a deep breath before dunking my head into the bath. I hear a beautiful voice sing.
Come and seek us where our voices sound,
We cannot sing above the ground.
An hour long you'll have to look,
To recover what we took.
When the song finishes I lift my head from the water and gasp for air. I close the egg and lift it out of the water. I put a drying charm on myself before removing the enchantments on the door.

"Our champions will now face the second task." We are out on some stands in the middle of the black lake. Harry gives me something.
"This is for an hour exactly."
"Are you sure about this Harry? Exactly an hour?" He shrugs.
"Most likely."
"Most likely?! You must be joking."
"Hey don't stress." Harry says.
"I'm going underwater for an hour. I don't want to drowned halfway through the task."
"Well there is a debate in herbology saying that the effect is different in fresh salt water."
"And you're telling me this now?!"
"But I don't want you to worry about it too much."
"Have you seen Ginny anywhere?" He shakes his head.
"But Lee, Oliver and the twins are up there." He points and the four wave at us. We wave back.
"You don't suppose..." I say looking at the lake.
