Hermione P.O.V
After I came back to the common room last night, I avoided everyone including my friends. I woke up to the sun shining on my face. As soon as I sit up I see most of the girls in the dorms are whispering to each other whilst looking at me. I ignore them and head into the bathroom and wash my face. I apply some light make up before changing into my robes. I leave the dormitories and meet with Ginny, Harry and Oliver.
"Hey..." I say kind of uncomfortable.
"Hey Hermione. How are you since the whole feast yesterday?" Harry asks.
"I'm alright, just wish that I hadn't been chosen."
"But you don't have to compete do you? I mean you're only 15 and they can't make you compete right?" Ginny says looking at me.
"Actually I have to compete regardless of how old I am." I say with a sigh.
"How did your name get into the goblet?" Harry asks suddenly.
"I have no idea but I most definitely didn't ask someone to put my name in. I already have so much stuff to deal with at home and now this tournament... I don't know if I can do it."
Oliver places a reassuring hand on my shoulder. I smile weakly at him.
"Well no matter what the three of us are here to support you and I'm sure the twins and Lee would be willing to help too." Ginny says and I smile at her.
"Thanks you guys." I say and place my hand on Oliver's. He smiles at me. Ginny and Harry smile at us before heading out. Oliver and I sit on the couch and I lean my head on his shoulder. The common room is pretty much empty.
"You know I've been meaning to ask you." Oliver starts and I tilt my head so that I'm looking up at him. "Would you like to accompany me to Hogsmeade this weekend?" I smile and kiss his lips softly.
"I'd love to." He smiles at me before frowning.
"What did you mean you had a lot of home stuff to deal with?" He asks me and I sigh and close my eyes. I rub my eyes with my hands before opening my eyes again to see Oliver looking at me with a worried look in his eye.
"Yesterday when I told you all that I was running errands for McGonagall, I was really in court finalizing my parents divorce. The dates got moved and my mum insisted that I be there because she wouldn't know how to tell me the arrangements herself. So when I went I found out my mum had full custody over me and my dad would only get to see me during holidays. When I got back to Hogwarts I couldn't tell you all where I really was otherwise you'd all worry about me. And then I found out my name was somehow put in the Goblet of Fire and now here we are."
"Lass I'm so sorry." Oliver engulfs me in a warm hug and I immediately melt in his arms. I rest my head on his chest and he gently strokes my hair. I feel tears sting my eyes. I try to stop the tears from falling but I fail miserably. We eventually pull away and I smile at him.
"Thanks. I needed that." I say as Oliver wipes the tears off of my cheeks.
"Anytime you need to get something off your chest. Promise me that you'll talk to me instead of bottling up your feelings." He says looking in my eyes. I nod and smile at him.
"I guess I should go and fix my make up." I say as I stand up.
"You don't need make up lass. You're beautiful as you are." I blush.
"Well then I'm going to clean myself up." He nods.
"I'll wait here for you." I nod before heading up and washing my face and putting on some mascara, lip gloss and concealer. I look at my reflection once more before heading down to the common room to meet Oliver.
