*Krista’s Point of View*
Come on, you stupid bell. RING! I stared blankly at my open textbook, quill in hand and holding it over the half blank piece of paper. Umbridge standing at the front of the classroom, watching us write down the three pages she told us to copy. I glanced across the room at Neville, who seemed just as anxious as me. I wish I could sit with him rather than this conceited girl I’m sitting next to, but because of Umbridge’s stupid “boys and girls can’t be within eight inches of each other” rule, we’re no longer allowed to choose where we sit. If you could only see how the great hall looks during meals. It’s not pretty.
  RIIIINNNG
Oh the beautiful sound. The room turned to chaos with the sound of textbooks slamming shut and students desperate to leave the room. I glanced up at Umbridge who seemed peeved, not that she doesn’t anyway, because we were free from her dictatorship for another day. I threw my bag over my shoulder and took off across the room to Neville.
He didn’t even hesitate, “Let’s get out of here.”
I nodded and followed him out. The second we were out of sight, Neville grabbed my hand and we ran down the halls to our next class.
“I’m so happy to be out of there!” I sighed.
Neville gave a squeezing blink to clear his tired eyes, “Yeah, me too.”
I wrapped my arms around him and he kissed my forehead. Sometimes I wish we could do this in class.
“What do you have next?” I asked him.
  “Divination,” He frowned, “You?”
“I have Transfiguration,” I sighed in disappointment.
He smiled and kissed me lightly, “Don’t worry. We’ll see each other later.”
  “Okay. I’ll see you around.”
Neville walked off towards the astronomy tower and I headed over to Transfiguration. Today was the rare occasion of sitting in groups. Diana, Hermione and Kenzie all sitting together already.
“Krista, over here!” Kenzie called to me.
I went over them smiling, “Hey, guys.”
I sat down with them. I had come in the middle of their Valentine’s Day discussion.
“Who’s going to be your valentines?” Diana asked us grinning.
I rolled my eyes sarcastically, “Dean Thomas. Who do you think?”
“Neville of course!” She laughed then looked to Hermione and Kenzie.
  Kenzie shrugged, “Draco obviously.”
We all turned to Hermione who turned bright red, “I want to ask Ron, but I’m not sure. Should I?”
“It’s up to you. Do what you think is best,” I told her. “What about you Diana?”
She thought about it for a moment, “I’m not sure. Maybe Lee.”
  “Jordan?”
She smiled, “Yeah! He’s really funny.”
That seemed to be a weird choice, but whatever.
Hermione changed the topic, “All right, what are you actually planning to do on Valentine’s Day?”
  “Well, Neville and I may-”
Kenzie cut me off, “Krista, don’t even say it. I’m pretty sure the entire school knows what you’re going to do.”
I couldn’t help but grin, “Well, I wasn’t going to say that, but it most likely will happen. I won’t deny it.”
She grimaced, “That’d be like the tenth time!”
I laughed and corrected her, “Actually, the fourth. Speaking of bedroom action. Have you and Malfoy...? ”
“Shhhh! I don’t want people to hear about that.”
I laughed, “You shouldn’t care. When are you planning to? Or have you done it already?”
Her eyes narrowed, “No, we haven’t done it. We don’t have a plan either.”
Diana eyed her curiously, “Not even a plan? You’ve been together a little over four months. Look at Krista and Neville!”
Kenzie looked at me and I gave her a huge grin, “I have. If you haven’t noticed, our mentalities are different.”
Hermione chimed in, “Yeah, but you two seem much more likely.”
Kenzie pointed at me, “Haven’t you ever heard the saying “It’s always the quiet ones”?”
The three of us laughed, Diana answering, “I’ve heard that. Krista has proven the stereotype.”
I gave her my signature snap and thumbs up, “Yes I have.”
Kenzie shook her head at me, “Krista, how on earth were you able to give in so quickly? I love Draco, but I’m still too nervous for that.”
“I think I wanted it more than he did,” I answered honestly.
She glanced between the three of us and lowered her voice, “I’ve been wanting it too, but I’m terrified to do it.”
I shrugged, “Well, wait until you know you’re ready a hundred percent,” I looked at Diana and Hermione, “And you know how you guys always ask me about Neville being good? Now you can bug her. I’m sure we’re all dying to find out if the once most hated guy in school proves himself between the sheets.”
Kenzie winced in disturbance, “When you say it like that, it just sounds weird.”
  “All the more reason.”
She looked down at her transfiguration textbook without another word. Her face bright red from embarrassment, making me grin. Hey, she bugs me, now it’s my turn to bother her.
*Draco’s Point of View*
I kept looking ahead at the board in charms. Professor Flitwick had left the room for a bit. Everyone in class is talking until he returns. I glanced to the corner where Finnegan sat a few feet away with Thomas and Potter. His angry glare drilling into me.
Blaise saw him and chuckled, “Geez, what’s Finnegan deal? Is he still pissed off you snagged Lewis before he did?”
I gave him a satisfied grin, “That’s exactly what his deal is.”
Blaise looked back to him and then to me smirking. He seemed to have an idea.
“So, Malfoy...” Blaise spoke loudly so Finnegan could hear, “Have you nailed the older Lewis sister yet?”
Not only was Finnegan at full attention, so were Thomas and Potter. I could tell they were anticipating my response.
I’m tempted to say “Yes.” I want to piss off Finnegan as much as possible, but I know if I did, word will spread around the school. Kenzie will not be happy with me if the entire school thinks we had sex when we really haven’t. Well, if they already don’t think it anyway.
I patted Blaise on the arm grinning, “Not yet, buddy. It’ll happen at some point.”
Blaise looked surprised. Potter and his buddies seemed relieved, but Finnegan kept giving me an angry glare anyway.
Blaise lowered his voice, “Malfoy, what are you doing? You’re supposed to piss off Finnegan. Why’d you lie?”
“I’m not lying, Blaise. If I lied and said I did, Kenzie would most likely find out and be very upset with me.”
He held up a hand, “Wait. So you mean to tell me you haven’t slept with her yet? Even after all of your all-nighters with her?”
I grinned, “I’ve slept with her. We just didn’t have sex yet.”
He frowned, “How can you do all these things and not do it with her? When you went public with it, I sincerely believed you got her for your own needs. Your own stress-reliever.”
Anger rose up inside of me, “Why would you think that? I’m with her because I love her. After everything, she’s the one good thing in my life. Why would I want to rush things with her and ruin it?”
He held up his hands in surrender, “Sorry. It’s just what I thought. I mean, hello?! She’s a half-blood.”
  “So?”
“And don’t your parents hate her and her family?”
I cocked an eyebrow, “Where are you going with this, Blaise?”
“Nowhere. It’s just that there isn’t a whole lot you can do. A fling, yes. A serious relationship, no.”
I leaned back in my chair, “I don’t care if my parents find out. I don’t care if they like her or hate her. I only care if HE knows. He’ll kill her to keep me loyal to his commands.”
Blaise seemed concerned, “Then how will you hide her? Being with you is dangerous to her.”
I sighed, “As long as none of the other members find out, he’ll never know.”
“And what about Lewis? Does she even know what’s going with you?”
I shook my head, “No. I intend to keep it that way for her protection.”
“Be reasonable, Malfoy. How will she react when she finds out you’ve been chosen to become one?”
I stopped him, “Hey. We won’t know that until summer. And if by chance I am chosen, I will still do my best to protect her.”
Blaise stared at me in disbelief, “What the bloody hell has gotten into you, Malfoy?”
I stared back. Giving him a small smile and chuckling, “True love, my friend.”
