*Kenzie’s point of View*
I awoke the early the next morning. Hermione and our other roommates were still sleeping soundly, so I kept quiet as I got dressed for the first Saturday of the year. I usually sleep in on weekends, but I just feel so energized this morning. I brushed my hair, tracing my lips with a bit of color and tiptoed to the door. As I entered the common room, I saw Neville peering underneath the couch next to the fireplace.
  “Morning, Neville.”
He looked up from the couch, “Morning. Hey, Kenzie. You haven’t seen Trevor have you?”
I laughed, “You lost him again?”
Neville sighed and nodded, “He always gets away from me.”
I pulled out my wand, “Have you ever tried it this way? Accio Trevor.”
Neville stared at me in surprise as the cocoa brown toad flew from the bookshelf and into my hand. I placed the runaway animal in Neville’s hands.
He laughed, “I actually haven’t. Even if I did, it probably wouldn’t work knowing my luck. Thanks, Kenzie.”
  I smiled, “No problem.”
We stood in silence for a few minutes. The only sound was Trevor’s soft croaking.
  “Hey, Kenzie?”
  I looked at him, “Yes?”
He gulped, “I was curious about something. Do you think you can help me out?”
  “Sure.”
Neville seemed to be a bit frightened, “Um… Does... Does your...” He cleared his throat, “Does Krista have a crush on Fred or George?”
“No. They’re more like brothers to us. Why do you ask?” my curiosity questioned.
He just shook his head, “No reason. Just wondering.”
I looked at him suspiciously. Before I could ask anything else, Neville excused himself and ran up the boys’ staircase.
“That was weird,” I muttered to myself.
I shrugged it off and exited the common room. It was still pretty early, so I knew most people wouldn’t be awake yet, let alone roaming the castle. I crept silently away from the portrait of the Fat Lady and a few other paintings since they were still sleeping as well. I peered up at one of the thousands of clocks that hung from walls.
  “7:30.”
Even though I feel energized, early morning drowsiness still traced through my system. I padded down the countless staircases, reaching the main entrance. I began wandering aimlessly around the castle, breathing in the fresh morning air. My skin prickled with early morning cold as each footstep echoed around me. I gazed down towards the lake. The light of the breaking dawn reflected on the pure blue surface. I settled myself on the windowsill, humming quietly to myself, just getting lost in the peaceful silence.
  “Good morning.”
My heart began ramming in my chest, from surprise and nervousness as he sat beside me. I shifted my gaze from the layout before me to look at my visitor. His gleaming, silver eyes watched me curiously and warmly. Traces of a grin curved the ends of his lips. A single, rich purple flower was grasped in his fingers.
I smiled sweetly, “Good morning, Draco.”
I watched as he took my hand in his, wrapping my fingers around the stem of the delicate flower, smiling the whole time.
“Thank you,” I said bashfully, “It’s beautiful.”
He brushed my hair away from my face, “You’re welcome.”
I scooted myself closer to him as he wrapped his arm around my shoulders, coaxing me to him. I snuggled into his side, taking in his warmth against the cold morning breeze.
“What are you doing up so early?” he whispered to me.
I chuckled a bit, “I should be asking you the same thing.”
“I couldn’t sleep. Haven’t been able to have a whole lot lately.”
I gave him a worried look, “Is everything all right?”
Shadows of fear evaporated as he saw my expression, “It’s fine. Just haven’t been sleeping well, that’s all.”
I wasn’t sure what to say, so I hugged him tightly. He hugged back, his chin resting on my head.
  “Kenzie?”
I faced him from his shoulder, meeting the familiar spark of his lips brushing against mine. Every cell tingled at his touch as he pressed closer, making me light-headed. He pulled away, removing the flower from my hands and placing it behind my ear.
  “Beautiful.”
I blushed hard. This is not the same Draco Malfoy that everyone has come to know. This isn’t the same cold-hearted monster everyone speaks badly about. I look at him and see a sweet and handsome young man. Draco stroked my face with his hand, leaning closer to me. As we made contact, two familiar voices started bouncing around the corridors.
“Damn it,“ Draco muttered, but smiled at me, “We’ll have to meet again later, love.”
I nodded disappointedly, as he kissed my cheek. Hearing the voices approaching, I watched as Draco looked where they were coming from and headed the opposite direction. Soon after Draco was out of sight, Fred and George came around and saw me.
“Kenzie!” Fred grinned, “About time we saw you this week.”
I acted nonchalant, “What do you mean?”
Well,” George started, “We only see you at meals. Where have you been?”
“Just having me time in the library.”
At least it’s true. I have been spending a ton of time in the library since most of our friends don’t go in there, but that was before late last night.
  “Of all places?” Fred asked.
I just nodded as they looked each other. Everyone knows how much I love reading, so I know they’ll believe me.
Fred grinned, “Well, we still need to go over new ideas with you and Krista.”
“Come on, let’s wait for her in the great hall,” George added.
I sighed as I glanced down the hallway, “All right. Let’s go.”
*Krista’s Point of View*
I woke up with body aching. Thank goodness this week went by quickly. I need a weekend to recover from it all. I climbed out of bed, sleepily throwing my clothes on. I felt like a wandering zombie as I headed down to the great hall for breakfast. My eyes half open as I pretty much dragged myself downstairs to the main entrance. I entered the great hall, seeing only a about a couple dozen people inside eating breakfast. I looked over at the Gryffindor able and saw Fred, George and Kenzie discussing something.
“Hey there, sleeping beauty,” George grinned.
“Oh hush,” I yawned, sitting next to Kenzie.
“Good thing you’re here,” She said, “These guys were getting weird.”
I yawned again, “When are they not weird?”
  “Hey!” They shouted in unison.
Kenzie and I started laughing. They frowned and shook their heads at us, crossing their arms.
“You think it’s funny do you?” Fred grinned.
  “Yes, we do,” I laughed.
I waited for their comeback, but it didn’t come. I looked up at them and Kenzie as they glanced up and back to me grinning. I was about to ask what they were smiling about when I turned around and found Neville standing behind me.
“Good morning, Krista,” he said shyly, not looking me in the eye.
  “Hey, Neville.”
Before he could say anything else, Kenzie offered him to sit down with us. I turned back to glare at her. She gave me a wink and signaled to the twins to leave. I watched in horror as they stood up and began to walk off.
“We’ll be back in a bit, Krista,” Kenzie grinned deviously.
I wasn’t sure what to do or say. Kenzie knows how extremely shy I am, yet she leaves me alone with the guy I have a huge crush on. I turned back to Neville who was looking down, too nervous to meet my gaze.
Trying to break the awkward silence, I started the conversation, “Sooo…”
He gulped, “You look really nice today.”
I felt my cheeks start to heat up, “Oh, thank you.”
He eased his eyes up to me. A little shy smile on his face, “You’re welcome... Hey, Krista?”
I looked at him, my heart racing, “Yes, Neville?”
  “I… I was wondering if… If you-“
“Hey, Neville!” Someone called from the entrance, “Your toad is in Binns’ classroom!”
Neville sighed in frustration, face palming himself.
I giggled, “Neville, you need to keep that thing on a leash.”
He chuckled nervously, “It’s not a bad idea. Uh…?”
“Just ask me later,” I smiled, secretly cursing the guy who called him out.
Neville seemed conflicted, “All right. I’ll see you around.”
  “Okay.”
I watched him run off to Professor Binns’ classroom to retrieve Trevor. I smiled happily even though I was a disappointed. After a few minutes, Kenzie and the twins returned giving me approving grins.
“Thanks a lot you guys,” I scolded sarcastically.
Kenzie laughed, “You’re welcome, sis. How’d it go?”
I glared at her, “You want to know how it went? It was freaking awkward as hell!”
The three of them started to crack up as I pouted, curling up and crossing my arms.
“Aw, did we make Krista angry?” George teased.
  “Yes.”
They wiped tears of laughter from their eyes. I decided to get even.
“Hey, Kenzie. Why don’t you go talk to your dream guy?”
I grinned triumphantly as she turned to me. Fred and George waiting for her reaction.
“Krista, I’ve told you before. I don’t like anyone.”
“I don’t believe that,” Fred grinned.
She glared at us, “And why is that? It would be hard to believe if Krista said it.”
“I won’t deny that,” I smirked, “Then again, I never deny liking someone.”
Kenzie rolled her eyes and stood up, “Whatever.”
“Where are you going?” George asked.
  “To the library.”
We watched her turn away and leave the great hall. I turned to the twins who glanced at each other a bit worriedly.
“You don’t think she’s mad at us, do you?” I asked.
They shook their heads, “Annoyed maybe, not angry.”
I started nibbling on a bit of toast, feeling a bit guilty. Kenzie didn’t push me to find out how I felt about Neville, so if she does like someone she’ll tell me when she’s ready.
