*Krista's Point of View*
I sat quietly at the Hufflepuff table with one of my favorite books in hand. It's still fairly early, so not many people are out of bed yet. I was just finishing up the final paragraph when warm hands covered my eyes.
"Good morning," He purred softly.
I giggled, setting my book down, "Morning, Neville."
I felt him kiss the top of my head before sitting beside me and pulling me close. I snuggled into his warm torso and sighed deeply.
He nuzzled against me lovingly, "What would you like to do today?"
I giggled, "Well, we do have to do our homework still. It's due tomorrow at the beginning of class."
"But that's no fun," He grinned, nipping my shoulder lightly.
I playfully pushed him away, "Maybe not, but it needs to be done. You know my parents will kill me if I let my grades slip again."
He gave me a cheesy grin and tried rolling his eyes with a teasing sigh, "All right fine... Do we at least get study break?"
"I'll think about it," I smirked.
Neville crossed his arms and fake pouted, making me laugh. I need to break the habit somehow. I gave a soft yawn as I closed my book, looking towards the entrance of the Great Hall just in time to catch my sister stumbling in. She looked a bit tired, but still had a smile on her face as she struggled to walk straight. Wait a minute...
A sudden realization came over me. I had that same exact problem after Neville and I-
"Morning, Krista," She smiled as she plopped down across from us.
I felt a bit grossed out by the thought, but I found myself smirking a little, "I see you have a little trouble walking this morning."
The fact that I seem to know didn't faze her and she giggled, "I know what you're getting at. You were the same way."
"I won't deny that," Neville smirked and I elbowed him in the side.
"Either way, it's about time," I laughed, "With all this talk with our friends about when and how."
Kenzie smiled, "I know, but I thought our one year anniversary would make it extra special. Now away from that subject, what do you plan to do today?"
"Homework," I sighed, then points to Neville, "This one keeps getting me behind."
Neville pouts playfully and nuzzles my shoulder more, "I said I was sorry."
"I know, babe."
Kenzie laughs at us, "Well, I was going to see if you two wanted to go to Hogsmeade with me. But if you're busy..."
"We'd love to, " I smiled, "But can you even walk?"
"I'll get my balance back eventually," She laughed, "But if you have stuff to do, we better get the fun out of the way."
I smiled back at both of them and stood up, entwining my fingers with Neville's as the three of us headed out of the Great Hall and out the main entrance. Kenzie skipped ahead, slowly regaining her balance back as she did.
"Remember when that was you?" Neville smirked.
I smack his arm, "Shut up. It's normal most of the time."
Not even listening, Kenzie calls back over her shoulder, "How's butterbeer sound, guys?"
"Sounds great!" I call back, hiding my blushing cheeks and runs to catch up with her.
Neville runs as well and wraps an arm around my waist, leading us into the Three Broomsticks and pulls out the chair for me at the table. Kenzie went up to the counter to order our drinks.
"Hey, guys."
I look up to see the trio walking over, "Hey. I guess it's go out for a drink day."
Harry chuckles, "Just seemed like a good idea."
"It was Harry's idea," Hermione explained, "He's on a quest to become close to Professor Slughorn."
"Professor Dumbledore's idea?" I ask, not surprised.
"Exactly."
I shook my head and looked up to see Kenzie carrying six mugs instead of three. She must've saw the others come in.
"Is Harry on assignment again?" She asked, putting the trays down.
Harry frowns, "I swear none of you are finding this surprising anymore."
"It's constant, Mate," Ron points out, "we're always up to something."
"Not always."
"Yes, always."
I couldn't help but to cover my mouth to hide a snicker. These guys, I swear.
"So, what exactly IS the plan? Didn't you already scare him off once?"
Harry hangs his head a bit, "Yeah. I went about it all wrong and he knew Dumbledore sent me to do it. I should've done better than repeating what Voldemort said when he was in school."
I shake my head, "You should've saw right away that was a bad idea."
"I wasn't thinking."
"I sure something will come up," Hermione comforts.
Harry puts his head down on the tabletop, "But he is so stubborn. It's almost aggravating."
I stifle a laugh, biting my finger. God, doesn't that sound familiar? I watch as Hermione and Ron pull him to his feet and lead him back outside to distract him, Neville still holding me close and I feel myself getting a crick in my back.
I gently pull away, "Neville, you're making my back hurt."
"Sorry."
Kenzie rolls her eyes playfully at us, "Do you guys have any more ideas on what we should do?"
I groan and lean my head back, "I sure could go for a hot bath right now. It's freezing today."
Neville gives me a mischievous grin and I lightly smack him to show that isn't what I meant.
Kenzie shakes her head, "What on earth did you do to him? I'm really wondering what happened to the super shy and quiet Neville Longbottom."
"Trust me," I joke, "If I knew, I'd be more than happy to tell you."
Kenzie laughs again and stands up, "Great. Maybe we should head back. I have homework to finish too."
I giggle and stand as well, pulling the pouting Neville to his feet, "Then we should. I don't want to be up all night again."
I wrap his arm around myself and follow my sister outside, nuzzling into Neville's side. I don't want to do any more homework tonight, but I only have another three days to finish.
"Are you going to need any help?"
I look up in his soft, hopeful eyes, smiling, "Thanks, babe, but I'll be alright."
He pouts, "But..."
"No," I say a bit sternly, "I need to get my things done. You'll have me tomorrow."
"But we have class."
I giggle a bit and kiss him lightly, "Before, breaks and after."
Neville sighs playfully, "Fiiine!"
Leading him inside, I lean up and gently kisses his lips, "Goodnight, babe. I'll see in the morning."
"Goodnight," He purrs softly, pulling me into a hug, "I love you."
"I love you too."
I kiss him again and tap the barrels to get into my common room, slinking over to the table with my book bag. My eyes already dragging at the memory of what I have left to do. I can't wait to just get this done.
