We walked up the halls, up to the seventh floor, past enchanted pictures, and moving staircases. We all chatted casually, and they talked to me a bit about their last few years at Hogwarts, which were absolutely unbelievable.
We eventually walked up to one with a large woman on it, and the group stopped in front of it. Harry mumbled, in a low tone,
"Fortuna Major"
Suddenly, the portrait swung forward to reveal a large room. There was a fireplace covering one of the walls, arm chairs and lounges everywhere, dark oak wood tables by each chair. Againat another wall was a giant window, and straight ahead there was a spiral staircase.
The room was decked in red and gold. This is absolutely incredible!
"This is the Common Room?! More like the Coolest Room!" The three laughed as t my cringy exclamation, and Hermione said,
"Yes, and up that staircase are the dormitories. Come on. I'll show you my room," The four of us ran up the staircase. After the first flight, there was a staircase to the left and to the right.
"This one is the girls, and this is the boys." Hermione said, gesturing to each one respectively. I nodded and Hermione said to Ron, with a slight smile,
"Hey Ron? Would you mind showing Brooke what happens when a boy tries going into the girl's dormitory?" He sighed and said,
"You just love seeing this, don't you?" She nodded and he sighed, again, walking to the stairs.
"What's he-?" I started, but Hermione cut me off, saying,
"Just watch..." He got about half way up the stair case, walking very hesitantly, when the stairs suddenly retracted and turned into a slide. Ron slid down backwards and landed on his back right in front of me.
"Are you okay?" I said, trying to hide a laugh. He sighed and said, getting up,
"Physically, I suppose. But my dignity is a bit bruised," I laughed and asked,
"Does the same thing happen when a girl tries to go to the boy's dorms?" Hermione shook her head.
"No. I guess girls are just more trustworthy," We giggled and the boys rolled their eyes. Hermione and I ran up to our dormitory, as soon as the stairs came back moments later, while the boys went to theirs. I saw that all my things were there.
"How did they know I would be staying here?"Hermione smiled, "It's best not to question most magic that goes down here at Hogwarts, you'll drive yourself mad,"
"Haha, I'll take your word for it,"
I spent a little time putting my stuff in the drawers and closets, as did Hermione."We have another roommate, so you're aware,"
"Oh? who?"
"Ron's sister, Ginny. She's a total sweetheart. You'll love her. I'm not sure where she is, though..."
"Well I'm sure we'll get along,"
"Mhm. Let's go get the boys,"
We went down the stairs and were about to go up to the boy's dormitory when we heard someone say,
"Wouldn't go up there, there's no point." I looked down the spiral staircase into the Common Room to see Ron sitting on the couch by the fireplace.
"Why?" I asked.
"Well, I am here and Harry is on his way to Snape's classroom..."
"What did he do?" Hermione said, concerned.
"Nothing.. yet. He is going down there with Fred and George right now. Something about 'Dung Bombs', from what I heard..."
Hermione scoffed, outraged, and stormed out of the room into the hall, leaving Ron and I alone.
