Harry Styles
Tracing my thumb down her cheek, we've been flying for about five hours now and she's been out like a light. Anxiety stirs in my stomach but every so often her body moves.
Cleaning my face and getting it stitched up, Violet still lays in my arms.
Watching her closely, I watch as her eyes flutter suddenly and my back perks. Hovering my head over hers I place my hand around her jaw as she opens her eyes. A smile plays on my lips in relief as I kiss her forehead. She sniffs from below but I'm so close to her body that she wraps a hand around my neck.
"Hey there," she whispers.
Everything in my body softens. With my hands around her waist, I tug her closer as I kiss down her neck. "How are you feeling?" I brush back her hair as she watches me with no other word and I grow worried. "Violet, what's wrong?"
Violet was the type of person where her beauty was on the inside and outside. Some of the most beautiful graces she believes in comes from deep inside her and in these moments where she's scared, sad and quiet, I'd give anything to listen to her mind. Listen to her grace that she sometimes has trouble vocalizing when she's frightened.
She takes a breath, moving herself on my lap and rubbing at her eyes with the sleeve that's completely saturated by now. Looking right back up at me she analyzes my frame with scrunched eyes.
"You look like hell." She rasps.
Those four words manage to make me laugh as I place my forehead against hers. "Yeah well, I just got back from it."
She hums, wiping her eyes once more before placing her hands against my chest trying to incline herself. I lift her up so her back is to the airplane wall but her body is resting on my lap. Her head falls to my chest where she lifts her sweater up. Locking eyes on the new stitches covered by a bandage beside her bruises, she just places her sweater down without another word. Placing her hand on her side she locks eyes with mine, looking unreadable but not frightened or scared. More of a sad relief.
"I have something to give back to you," I whisper, reaching into my pocket and pulling out her star keychain. Letting it dangle between my fingertips, her hands on my neck gently pull away to trace a finger down it. A smile pulls on her lips as she looks up at me with water in her eyes.
"Thank you." Her eyes stare into mine as I tilt my head.
"For what?"
"For not leaving me." Speaking slowly I place it back in my pocket for safe keeping. My hands on her jaw pull her softly so she can hear and see my every word.
"Never dying with you around or getting into those situations ever again. It's done, Violet, we get to be happy." Biting on her cheek, it doesn't contain her smile as her shoulders slump in relief.
"So I get to keep you now?" Whispering in a soft voice filled with the anxiety of the last twenty-four hours I pull her face closer so our lips rest over another as I briefly kiss them. She sniffs from the act as my eyes pour into her.
"Yeah, sweet girl. You got me forever now."
Before I can get another word out her hands on my neck pull me into her lips. The contact suddenly made me feel on top of the world. I was filled with so much love and relief that I could have my Violet properly. Without killing or running away from people, I could finally have her now that we weren't constantly worried our parents would one day find us.
Kissing her lips softly my lips slide over hers. Even without any lip balm she still tasted like cherries. She tasted like mine. As we kiss each other in the most delicate way it was also filled with so much passion. Kissing in relief that we had each other for another day it was slow and cautious but quick and lustful at the same time.
