Chapter Twenty
Delayla Cruz
It's been a week since we got our pipes and electricity back, and let's just say that I had a long, good shower. It also has been a week since I last saw Juan, I'm admitting that I missed him, I was also worried. Where was Juan staying for the past week?
"Hey how are you doing?" Lion asked, as I closed the door to my locker.
Lion and I had first period together again, we started to walk to class. "Good," I answered.
"Good?" Lion asked, "Why not fantastic or great?"
"I don't know." I said, "I just don't feel fantastic or great."
Lion gave me a questioning look, "Something is bothering you this morning."
"Nothing is bothering me." I lied.
"Delayla I'm not dumb, I've known you for long time. Long enough to know something is bothering you." Lion concluded. "You know, you can tell me, that's what friends are for, right? We listen to each others problems."
I reluctantly agreed, "Okay fine, since you're so eager to know about my problems, I'm going to tell you."
"I'm all ears." Lion said.
I took a deep breath, "Well you're not really going to like what I'm about to say."
Lion look at me confused, "What do you mean?"
"I'm worried about Juan." I finally confessed.
As I feared, Lion didn't react too well, "No one needs to be worried over a person like him." Lion said.
I gave him an accusing look. "Okay, I did say that I was all ears." Lion said.
"Well both my parents are." I added, "And I haven't seen him for a week, as his roommate I'm naturally worried."
"Gosh, I hate the fact that you have to share a room with him." Lion confessed.
"Why?" I asked.
"He's a perverted freak with needs." Lion accused
"He hasn't done anything wrong so far." I said.
"So far." Lion emphasised.
I rolled my eyes, "Well, me being the wise friend that gives you advice," Lion said, "I've got nothing to give you."
"What?" I said confused.
"I don't have any advice at the moment." Lion answered.
I gave him a sarcastic look, "Thanks."
We walked into class and took our seats.
"I'm serious." Lion gave me a serious look, "I've got none."

That afternoon Lion and I were at the school's car park, Lion kindly said that he was going to give me a lift home. I climbed into his car as Lion climbed into the drivers seat. I put my seatbelt on and looked out of the window, I almost jumped out of my seat when I saw Juan. Lion got startled, "What's wrong?" He said.
"Juan." Was all I said.
"What?" Lion said.
I pointed out of the window, there in the distance was Juan and Sally getting into a blue Lamborghini car. "Wow" Juan whistled, "Sally has one sick ride."
"Okay, so she's rich." I said.
The Lamborghini car started to move as it drove out of the car park, Lion started up the engine to his car and started to drive out of the car park. I soon realised that Lion wasn't dropping me home because he went the other way.
"Where are we going?" I asked.
"Where do you think?" Lion asked.
I shrugged.
"Well, you were worried about Juan because you haven't seen him for a week, and you don't know where he's staying right?" Lion asked.
I nodded, "So why not follow him." Lion concluded.
"What?" I asked shocked.
"You don't know where he's staying, so why don't we just find out ourselves." Lion said.
"So, we're following Sally's car with yours?" I asked.
"Yep." Lion answered.
"Uh, I think I would become suspicious if a certain car had been behind me for a long period of time." I confessed.
"They won't know." Lion reassured, "And when they do, it'll be too late anyways."
I sighed a little distressed, "I mean, what do you have to lose?" Lion said, "You get to find out where Juan's being staying."
"What have I got to lose?" I asked myself, "I don't know, Juan."
"You're being over dramatic." Lion commented.
"He might get angry at me." I said.
"Of course he will." Lion said, "That's if he finds out."
I sat in the car as Lion followed the blue lamborghini, soon a mansion appeared in view. "Woah triple shit!" Lion said, "Is that Sally's house?"
Sally's car slowed to a stop, so Lion slowed down and parked at the side of the street. "Well we now know where Juan is staying," Lion announced, as we watched Juan and Sally get out of the car.
I looked at them with jealousy, "Someone's jealous." Lion teased.
"Shut up." I smacked him on the arm.
Lion grinned, he then looked out of the dashboard and his smile disappeared. "Uh oh."
"What, what's wrong?" I asked.
"Juan alert; at twelve o'clock, coming our way." Lion said.
I looked up to see Juan storming towards us with a furious expression, I just stared at him shocked as he went around to my side and opened the door, I could feel his anger radiating off as he tried his best to maintain his cool.
"We need to talk Delayla." Juan said.
