Chapter Thirteen
Delayla

I yawned waking up on the sofa, surrounded by cups from leftover drinks. I jerked up awake, Shit. The house wasn't even nearly cleaned up and my parents were going to come home soon, I spotted Lion asleep on the floor a few metres away. My heart melted at the sight of him, I couldn't believe he stayed up all night helping me clean. I went over to him, "Lion wake up" I said shaking him gently.

His eyes slowly opened to reveal his beautiful, hazel coloured eyes, "Morning." He greeted me with a sexy voice.
"Morning" I said tiredly.
"Shit" He said waking up, "Your parents are coming home soon."
"Yeah" I agreed.
"We have to start cleaning up before your parents come back" Lion panicked.
"I don't know if we can clean the house in time" I sighed.
"Well we won't know it if we don't try, right?" Lion said.
My spirits lifted and with that I got up and went into the kitchen to find a packet full of garbage bags.

I handed one to Lion and together we started to gather all the rubbish, filling garbage bag. Half an hour later Lion and I managed to get all the rubbish into the garbage bag that was sitting in the backyard neatly tied up, "Now we have to restore this place to it's original self" I said.
I sighed sadly, "I don't know how I will replace some of the things that the people broke in the house" I said, "Mum and dad are going to kill me."
Lion went over and rubbed at a small part on my back, comforting me, "It's going to be alright." He soothed, "Just explain it to them that Juan did it."

That slightly made me feel better, "I'm going to check up on Juan and wake him up" I told Lion.
As I started walking to head to the stairs, I heard the garage starting to open. Shit. They were coming home. I ran back to Lion panicking, "They're here" I panicked, "What do I do."
"It's going to be alright" Lion said soothingly.

It wasn't alright, when my parents came home and found the house at the horrible state they felt angry and disappointed. They felt confused and started to shout at me, Mum was especially angry, "What the hell could of happened to make the house look like this?" Mum asked.
"A party" I answered truthfully.
They stared at me like I was crazy, "A party" Mum shrieked, "You threw a party!"
"Yes there was a party... what no! I didn't throw the party, Juan did" I protested.
Mum and Dad didn't seem to listen to me, "I can't believe you threw a party" Dad said, "I never thought you were so irresponsible."

Lion tried to save me by stepping in, "Mrs and Mr Cruz, I would like to say that Delayla didn't do any of it, in fact Juan did, the poor girl had to clean up the house."
My parents loved Lion, they thought he was the golden boy and a perfect friend for me to hang out with. They even trusted him to take care of me when we went out, today they were too angry to listen to him, "Get out!" Dad said.
Lion tried to protest but the look on my Dad's face made him walk out of the house, as the door opened he turned to me and mouthed a 'good luck'. I nodded and went back to face my parents.

"Look, I didn't throw the party" I said, "Juan did, he did it behind my back and I tried to stop it but it kind of got out of control."
"Oh really, Juan did it" Mum said.
"Yes and he did so behind my back, yesterday I went out with Lion to the amusement park and when I came back Juan was in the middle of throwing a party at our house" I explained.
"Alright" My father slightly gave in, "Let's see what Juan has to say about this."

I followed my parents upstairs who went into our room, I saw Juan in our bed sound asleep still in yesterday's clothes. His mouth was open and he was drooling, so unattractive, "Juan wake up" Dad shook him awake.
He slowly woke up and groaned, "As you can see he has a hangover from all the partying that he did last night" I said.
My parents just ignored me.

"Juan did you throw a party behind Delayla's back?" Dad asked.
I expected Juan to tell them the truth, but what he said next surprised me, "No, I was out all day" He answered blinking.
"I can't believed you lied" Mum said to me.
"What!" I said in shock, "That's not true, I didn't lie to you, Juan threw the party."
"No I didn't" Juan told my parents, "I was out all-day then I came home and when I found out I was about to tell you guys but Delayla drugged me."
"What!" I exclaimed, "That's so not true, Juan got drunk so I had to make him rest because of it."

"You know what" Mum said, "I've heard enough of this."
"Me too" Dad said.
"Delayla" They said at the same time, "You're grounded."
"What?" I shrieked.
"For a month" Mum said, "Because of your inappropriate behaviour and damaging the house"
"I can't believe you're so irresponsible" Dad said, "You used to be such a good girl, look at you now. You're such a disappointment."
I stared at them hurt, "I told you, Juan threw the party."
"Oh stop lying" Juan said standing up behind them.
I shot him a glare, that inconsiderate jerk.

"Delayla, hon, whatever is going through your mind, your actions have to stop" Mum said. "Dad and I will leave you to think about it, no food for today as punishment."
As they started to leave I turned around to glare at Juan, "I can't believe you lied to them!" I yelled.
Juan shrugged not caring and climbed back into bed, I stared at him with a mixture of emotions going through me. It was the feeling of anger, hurt and betrayal. Angry and betrayed because he lied to my parents and somehow my parents believed him, hurt because I thought we had an understanding, also because I was just starting to like him.
