Genesis's Pov
When I first had met Eren the most obvious sign was quite there. He was very much Just a kid, who had his life change in a instant when his mom had died, your first immediate thought Is Eren is annoying, he hates titans his main goal was to kill them all of he could. Very much large mission at hand. But every year passing as he grew, you can see very much his thought pattern shifting, watching so many people die learning not only about things called titan shifters.
But learning about how much time you left because of that, all the knowledge. Each year for Eren just brought more information he never knew about. And even before us being together you could just see the hate brewing inside of him. And from a stand point of view I never really blamed him for the hate he was feeling.
And I could sort of understand why in the end he soft of took matters into his own hand. Of course more death angering more death would never solve anything. I wiped the sweat roughly on my forehead my eyes looking down on the city of Marley very much up in flames lots of death. I gripped into the interior of the large hot balloon, before I managed to look away from the sight moving between more of the soldiers to enter the area where Levi was.
Eren just had this whole bleak like stare, even when he got kicked by Levi who was more then angry was an understatement.
"Wow shortie still had spunk doesn't he, I'll break it to you short. He doesn't care about anything anymore." I stated both of our eyes meeting one another.
"Attacking him isn't gonna change the fact that he thought irrationally, and didn't tell anyone go cool off." He rolled his eyes at me, storming pass me, Hange following shortly after, I sighed sinking my own shoulders back. The air here just felt so tense and filled with all the anger you can imagine.
Before I crouched down in front of Eren lightly cupping at his bruise jaw brushing my fingers over the very profound bruising, his green eyes faintly looking at me, such a dead look inside those eyes of his.
"I'll put some ice on it whenever we arrive back, but Eren what you did... I don't blame you but it's gonna cause war you know that right babe?" I questioned to him. A small heavy sigh left him, his head propped back for a moment before he didn't say anything and yanked the back of my head towards him pressing a very rough like kiss onto my lips.
Very much I was flustered was in a public setting but returned the kiss a bit feeling is both break away when the need for air was there.
"I forgot how much you talk a lot baby... But I'll admit I was half thinking when I came over here on my own." I gave him the no shit expression, but then his fingers stroked at my jaw line a couple times.
"You've been working too hard, I can see the stress lines under your eyes. They are gonna place me under arrest when we arrive back, I have some letters for you in my coat, take them and read them okay. Let's check on the others." A small chuckle left me getting up undoing the ties on his hands, his hair was way too long, but somehow it fit him, he looked a lot older then eighteen, from what I heard from Mikasa looks like his dad.
He stood up with a grunt, grabbing my hand to pull me along back to where Armin, Mikasa, Jean, Connie, and Sasha were gathered about. I could hear how loud their voices were getting. The topic was of course mine other then Eren.
By the time we entered the area I ignored Mikasa, letting all of them argue since its all they've done since we were ordered to retreat. It was all happening so fast but the sudden loud shouting and bang bang through both my ears, my eyes widen in shock when one minute Sasha was standing perfectly fine and the next red was seeping through her shirt as she fell down.
I spun around so quickly in a rage my eyes widen seeing a young girl holding a rifle. A kid.... A little kid just shot Sasha. The young boy next to her seemed to be in even more shock, they were soon very much tackled by more soldiers.
I dropped down bellow to at least pick up her head to place in my lap, exclaiming out to her.
"Sasha! Listen to my voice right now don't close your eyes and focus on our voices okay." I ordered out, she was in a state shocked that she had just been shot, her hands moving to her chest.
Jean was in such a state of shock, I gritted my teeth tightly in a state of shock, but to leave me even more shocked. Eren's emotions were all over the place, he was crying , he wasn't screaming there was anger in his eyes but the response he had wasn't what I was expecting at all, he was laughing, like actually full blown laughter.
Eren you really have gone to the other side haven't you hun?
