Genesis's Pov
"I don't understand why I can't see him Levi, let me speak to him!" My patience was slow running thin. I wasn't sure if it was the worry pooling inside me, or just wanting answers, but that Eren sitting in a cell underground was a very changed person. I thought maybe I could get better answer away from everyone else.

"Genesis I respect you and you know that I do, but what makes you think you'll get an even better response then what our men and women have? Armin? Mikasa? Those are his best friends he grew up with them and is cold to them." I listened to his voice snapping at me sighing roughly keeping my hands pressed on the desk as I spoke as calmly as I could.

"Because I promise I would honor and defend him Levi, just let me try." Levi slammed a book onto the floor spinning to face me again.

"Genesis he just declared war! And we all have to be prepared I'm sorry but my answer is no. I have to go handle a task with Hange. Stay put and I fucking mean it." I held back my tongue from snapping back watching him storm out, I sighed once again rubbing the bridge of my nose.

"Great what the hell am I gonna do with Eren... It's been days." I thought bitterly. I wouldn't be able to sneak down there because Levi wasn't an idiot and would tell the guards before he left. So I had no other option yet to go on with my normal duties.

I could always check in with Armin and Mikasa to see how they had been holding on since Sasha's funeral.

"Excuse me you can unhand me! Why are you holding me so tight?!" I was even more annoyed, staring at this guard in confusion, I was helping outside with the new found love the people had for Eren when  I was being dragged off in a very confused state. I wasn't sure if it was because I was exhausted or perhaps stressed. Maybe all of the above.

I was being dragged all the way underground the cells coming into view, I was then roughly pushed across the hard stone walkway. I whipped around to shoot a glare at the two males but another yelp left me when I was being yanked towards the figure I didn't recognize at first.

"Genesis?" I held my breath for a moment my eyes narrowing for a moment, slightly trying to back myself up.

"Eren? Why do you look so uhh.. Clean? " I titled my head because I didn't know what other words to use. His long brown hair was pulled back into a low hung bun, and his light beard was gone as well.

"I believe it's called cleaning yourself up? Where's Levi and the others." His hand was still gripping onto my arm tightly, urging me close to him.

"I don't know, he said I wasn't allowed to see you, and then said he had to handle something with Hange I'm assuming it's Zeke." Eren looked to be in thought before he was nodding urging me to follow him.

"We need to find the others first then come on." I held my breath listening to echoed of footsteps letting him lead me back up the stairs.  It was so strange to see how quick his eyes could flash from the soft expression they could hold before they were back to the hallow emptiness he must be feeling, he dropped his hand from gripping so tightly into my already sore arm, dropping his hand down to gripped at my sweaty hand instead.

I was nervous, when was I ever nervous around Eren unless... He really was unpredictable now.

"Where are we going Eren?" I questioned in a meek like tone, his eyes slightly glanced at me from the corner of his eye before he focused back ahead clearing his throat.

"I first need to know where Zeke's location is. Once I find that out. I need to know where Mikasa and Armin are." I nodded my head a few times clearing my throat also focusing on the ground, feeling him give my hand a tight squeeze.

"I missed you.. I knew they weren't gonna allow you to see me. So what did Levi say to you." My lips stayed in a thin line before I spoke squinting as the sun came in contact with my face so suddenly tilting my head away from it so I wasn't staring directly into the rays, and at the sight of the large towering walls.

"He said his trust for me was slowly running thin. Like how it was with yours." A small scoff left him.

"Just like how he said he always trust my judgment. What a shame."
