Smile

Y/N never smiled. As her husband for past two years I never saw her smiling except on the first week of our wedding. Always she had the same expression, and as a person with many expressions, I was quite not satisfied with her face. I mean I do have the right to judge a person, not till I say it in their face. I still remember when on our honeymoon we were making out, she didn't express anything and I was scared of my life thinking where I was hurting her, or was I being very dominant and all stuffs.  

Joshua, she kept on calling me but I was so sick to see her expression less face. 

Hong Jisoo! 

That's when I lost it. I hate it when people call me by my complete name. I hate this name, 'Hong Jisoo'.

Can you not shut that f*cking mouth of yours! I usually don't curse, so if you hear me cursing that means I lost all my gentleness.

Why are you bringing the topic to my mother? It's our personal matter... I was showing my back to her so I don't know how she's feeling but via face, I know the expression. I believe even Wonwoo, my colleague, ne'er had such an expression less face.

I do regret saying so much to her but I was just so angry and drunk sort of. Maybe I judged her too much on basis of her expression, must I be sorry for that. 

Hey y/n, I saw her after a few years, all these five years I was regretting leaving her but I hope I could get her back to keep her happy, or at least that she forgives me.

Hi Josh, she was smiling and.... she's pregnant? 

You? Did you marry someone else? I don't know why but I was a little shock and mostly disappointed.

Ah yeah. I got married to Choi Vernon. He's from America, she was sort of smiling, a little more than what smile she had when with me which was non-existing.

This little one is three month year and the elder is one years.

Vernon and y/n has two children...?! I couldn't even make one...

She still smiled a little.

Y/N can you... Don't say Joshua! Can you be... Joshua you'll ruin her life! Can you be... bring me water! Joshua, you're not asking her to come back! She has a child and Vernon made her smile a little, so you better not ruin her life!

Here, the water, I wished I could jump into this water and die due to lack of oxygen. I saw the picture of Vernon there, he was a handsome man, I guess between the age of thirty to thirty-five. 

What Vernon does?

Vernon? Ah he works as a professional blogger and hacker, I believe.. that's what he said me. You know I never care of what my husband does. 

Y/N's smile widens a little, maybe 5 NM.

No, I left the job. Vernon says he has so much of money that even if he leaves the work, we four can survive.

Well furnished room, with expensive vases which should be rather in a museum. Y/N's clothing changed as well. I am a normal detective, who hardly gets cases once a year.

Joshua, I think you should leave, Vernon is about to come home and I don't think he'll like to see you here.

Y/N seemed to be scared for a moment, I bet she was shocked. 

Y/N, Josh and I used to study together! But he came to Korea for pursuing his dream as a singer.

Ah don't talk about that dream. Our band got disband after a year and see me! I am a useless detective now, I hugged him tight.

That night Y/N didn't smile after my meeting with Vernon. Vernon and I had a drink and Vernon started to cry.

Josh, believe me or not, but Y/N is a witch!

HAHA Vernon, c'mon...

No, not joking. Whenever Y/N smiles, I loose a friend or relative of mine. I lost four already!

WHAT? NO! She was married to Seungcheol before me! He said me this as well, about her cursed smile but I didn't believe him untill my sister, Sofia, died. Then second time she smiled and I lost Hoshi! Hoshi was such an idiotic friend of mine...And the third time she smiled, I lost my ex- girlfriend... what else do I need to loose to believe it?

Vernon, is this the reason why Y/N never smiled in front of me? Because I already have had lost my parents, she wanted me to be sad no more but....
