Jessica's POV
Hi, my name is Y-I mean Jessica Greystone. Shit why am I still starting my train of thought by introducing myself, I know who I am and anyone who reads this knows my name is Jessica because there's a giant sign that says "Jessica's POV." Why do I still do that?
Sorry, I have little habits I am trying to rid myself of. Shall we start over?
(Back to the Beginning)
I take a deep breath as I step off the bus. Looking at the apartment complex soon to be my home I think "Good thing I have an aunt I can stay with or else I'd have nowhere to go."
As I walk up to my Aunt Lisa's apartment I trip on my own two feet and crashed on to something. Great start, Jessica.
I look up to see what I crashed into. Well turns out this what was more of a who. A tall muscular boy with green emerald orbs and brunette locks. Fuck!
"Are you okay?" the boy asked.
"I'm fine" I say acting natural "Just a bit of a clutz"
"You here visiting anyone?"
"I'm moving here, with my aunt."
"Then I guess I'm your new neighbor" the boy smiled and extended his hand "I'm Lukas."
"Jessica" I shook his hand.
Oh god, please let this be a friendship and nothing more.
"I'd better get to my aunt's apartment." I break from the handshake.
"Ok, we'll maybe I'll see you in school tomorrow" Lukas calls out as I leave.
Eventually I make it to my Aunt's apartment and ring the bell.
A woman in her mid 40s answers the door. Aunt Lisa, my favorite aunt. She invites me in and puts a kettle of tea on the stove.
"Thank you so much for letting me come live with you" I say.
"Oh it's no problem at all, anything to help my favorite niece."
"Aunt Lisa, I'm your only niece."
"All the more reason to help you. Now I remember you saying that you were 'not like other girls' and that you hated makeup and 'girly things. Is this still true"
I nearly choked on my cup of tea "Hell No. I am way done with that embarrassing phase. I even burned all my galaxy clothes."
I look down at the basic ass Pinterest outfit I was wearing. The last part of my old self that needed to die.
(A/N: ugh I hate this outfit just as much as you)
"I took care of getting you transferred into the highschool here, you start on Monday" aunt Lisa tells me.
"Great" I reply with a bit of worry in my voice.
I really hope things don't end up like last time or I might have to skip town again.
