A/N: We are back. So sorry for the delay, I was inserting some dramatic shit probably involving a pet dying, me getting brutally injured in a way that probably should've killed me, and papers. Definitely not fishing for sympathy. Anyways, here's chapter 11
After an entire weekend of trying to avoid Maya, and why wouldn't I after I kissed her, possibly making her think I was some kind of creepy weirdo, I begrudgingly get ready for school.
I blink in the mirror looking at my deep blue orb-eyes! That was weird. I haven't used that word for at least a week.
I brush off that weird bit of inner monologue as I look into the mirror to find my hair in a....oh no...
It's in a messy bun. I don't remember putting my hair up like that. Unless...oh god, that time of the month.
I quickly get changed, not even realizing i am putting on the most y/n outfit in my closet, and I race to school not even stopping for breakfast.
I swear if I start singing fight song, I might as well turn myself over to that creep my mom tried selling me to. Who knows? Maybe it was Harry Styles.

Anyways, once I arrived at school, I immediately ram into Lukas and Jason.
"Jessica, are you okay?" Lukas asked "You look like you didn't get enough sleep, and is that..."
"A messy bun?" I finish his thought "Yes, I'll explain at lunch. Where's Maya? Does she still hate me?"
"Hate you?" why would she hate you?" Jason raised his eyebrow.
I look down at the floor is mortification "I did something really stupid when she dropped me off after the dance...I kissed her. I mean I know she saved me from my ex, and we danced together and it was really fun and I just felt so much chemistry between us but I don't even know if she feels the same way about me. She probably was just doing all that as a friend, and now she thinks I'm super weird and..."
"You done, Jess?" I heard a voice behind me ask. I turn around, and to my horror...
"MAYA! How long have you been standing there?"
"Long enough to hear your soliloquy of nonsense." Maya teased as she ruffled my hair "I don't hate you, far from it. In fact..."
A small blush began to form on Maya's face as she took my hand in hers "I wanted to tell you Friday Night, but you ran away. I have feelings for you as well."
All the self-loathing I've felt for the entire weekend suddenly melted away, and was replaced by pure euphoria. The prettiest and coolest girl (at least in my opinion) in this school likes me back? Truly I must be in heaven.
"Can I have a hug?" I asked as tears of joy form in my eyes.
Maya smiled and pulled me into a tight embrace "Sure."
