Oakley woke up to her alarm at 6am Monday morning. At first she wanted to just turn it off and go back to sleep but once she realise what day it was, she practically jumped out of bed and ran down the stairs of her house.

She lived with her older brother Sky and the person that they both found as a father, Silva. Oakley ran through the house until she made it to the kitchen where she found Silva sitting at the dining table with a coffee in hand and a newspaper in the other.

They lived in the other world and so magic was normal, well usually. This household however only held specialists, so the people that fight with swords and weapons instead of powers, until one day when Oakley did something she thought to be impossible.

[Flashback]
7 year old Oakley and her brother 8 year old Sky were running around in the snow around their house, chasing each other and building snowmen until suddenly she came to a stop in front of a lake. Sky didn't realise she had  stopped and so he ran straight into her and made her fall over. Oakley screamed and expected to fall into the freezing cold water so she shut her eyes and prayed. Instead she was met with the coldness yet softness of something else. She opened her eyes and saw that they she on a piece of ice on the water, but there was a pile of snow surrounding her. She looked up and just saw her older brother staring at her and saw Silva running out of the house because of the sound. Oakley slowly stood up and went to take a step towards the edge of the water and when her foot touched the water ice was placed underneath it and snow on top of it. She just looked up from where he foot was and towards the older man with a surprised yet happy smile."I'm a fairy! Uncle Silva look I have powers!" She started yelling and made it towards the waters edge so she was standing on solid ground . She was so happy that moment but what confused Silva was that yes her mum was a fairy but she was a light fairy, not an ice fairy.
[Flashback ends]

"Morning uncle Silva." She said with a happy smile on her face and went over to the bench to make some toast for breakfast.
"Morning Oak. How did you sleep?" He replied with and looked up from his paper.

"I slept really well but I'm really excited for school. I know I've spent some time there before but I'm still so nervous about it. I mean I am the first fairy specialist so that stresses me out a bit more."

She explained and sat down in a chair opposite from the older man so she could eat her breakfast. They three had to get to Alfea kind of early so they could set up the school for the new kids.

"Hey you don't need to be nervous. At least you know some of the second years like, Stella, or Riven and Brandon. Besides you've been training and practising. You're going to be fine." And just as he finished speaking Sky walked in from his room.

"Wow you're up early Oak. I went to your room to wake you up but you weren't there." Sky questioned and sat down next to his sister.
"Yeah I woke up to my alarm and was too excited to go back to sleep." Was her answer and he just nodded his head.

"Well you two better hurry up and get ready for the day. We have a lot of preparation to do today. So go get changed, get your bags and hurry down so we don't miss the gate opening." Silva explained to the two teens and walked out of the room.

"So are you excited about your first day at Alfea?" Sky asked his sister with a smile and nudged her making her smile.
"Yeah I'm excited. Also really nervous and stressed but yeah excited." She replied with and looked at her brother.

He just hugged her and made her feel better straight away. If there was anything Sky knew about his sister it was that a hug always made her feel at least a little better. He let go of her and started walking upstairs.

"Well hurry up then. We haven't got all day." He said and ran up the stairs. Oakley laughed slightly at her brother and walked up the stairs and to her room. She got changed out of her pjs and put on a nice outfit.

A lilac coloured sweatshirt, some blue ripped jeans, and a pair of checkered black and white vans. She grabbed her backpack that had a few of the essential things and then grabbed her suite-case.

Oakley ran down the stairs and waited for her brother so that they could leave. She was practically bouncing when he finally walked down with his things in his hands.
"Ok Oak, are you ready to go to school?"

Sky asked his younger sister and she just smiled and nodded her head. They walked out of the house with their luggage and over towards where the gateway to the school was. They could have taken a car like usual but Silva thought that it took up too much time and they would have had to lave much earlier.

The three weren't walking for very long before they reached a small building. It looked very old on the outside but when Silva opened the door and it was actually quite nice. He walked inside and gestured for the two teens to follow him.

He grabbed the pin off his shirt and tapped the top of it. Suddenly the room the three people were in began to fall away and be replaced with the front Gate of the school. Oakley had closed her eyes before anything happened because if she had them opened she would fell dizzy.

When she opened her eyes again, she saw the school that she remembered barely anything about. Someone else was standing there but not just one person. 2 people. And three people that Oakley sort of recognised.

"Ah Saul, I was worried you wouldn't make it this early." The older man said as he and the other person walked towards them. Oakley recognised this man to be professor Harvey. There was a girl next to him that made Oakley Smile.

Terra. They had met last year and because they were the young ones, made great friends with each other. When they two girls saw each other, they just ran and hugged the other.
"I missed you so much Terra. I'm so glad that you're here. I was so Worried you wouldn't be." Oakley explained to her best friend.

"Why wouldn't I be here Oak?" Terra asked and let go of her friend just looking her in the eyes. It didn't long for both of them to burst out laughing because, let me be real. Neither of them were that sensible when it came to each other.

"It's nice to see you again Oakley." Professor Harvey said to the girl.
"You as well professor." She said with a smile.
"Alright girls, will you two please go to Headmistress Dowlings office and see if she needs help setting up the inside of the building?" Silva said and the two girls nodded their heads.

As they walked away they heard the two men talking, as well as Sky.
"She gives off a very strong aura Saul." Was all that Oakley heard when Terra looked at her and started talking.

"I wonder what they were talking about?" The earth fairy said to her friend.
"I'm not sure but it sounds interesting." She replied to her friend and kept walking.

"Hey Oak. Have you ever met my brother?" Terra asked her friend. She shook her head and replied.
"I didn't even know you had a brother, so I could have but probably not." She was telling truth about one thing. She didn't know Terra had a brother but she had met him before, just without realising it.
