Musa and Oakley made it to the stone circle where the rest of their friends and class was gathered. the first years got separated into three classes so that it would be easier to teach.
"Magic, lives in the very fabric of nature. And here in our circle of stone, it's magnified."

Miss Dowling was presenting her speech about how magic works and lives to the class.
"This vessel, tests your ability to channel that magic." Oakley was worried. She didn't know which of her powers would want to work today. Hopefully she can only use her Ice.

Bloom was also worrying. She needed to be bale to control her power not only for herself but also so that Oakley has help for when she realizes how to use her fire powers. This just put so much more pressure on the red haired girl but she would never show it to anyone else.

"Now although it is possible to connect with the other elements, it is a very rare occasion and so while you are here you will only be training with the power that you were born with." Miss Dowling was really good at speeches and also making some students uneasy.

Even though Oakley knew how to control her original elemental power, she had never shown many people. Only the ones that she was close to and now her suitemates. Not having to keep that secret from them is amazing but now she has to show the entire class.

Word spreads fast at Alfea. As soon as classes get let out for lunch today the entire school is going to know that there is an Ice Fairy among them, even though only a few will actually know who she is or what she looks like. That will probably travel around the school fast as well.

Just like how Oakley found out that Aisha told Bloom that she was a Changeling, which Oakley had already figure out but was not planning on telling the girl. That would have just made her life so much more difficult and hard to understand than it already is.

"Earth, you are up first. Please all Earth fairies stand up and wait for your turn." Terra went first as she had perfect control over her powers and understood exactly what she needed to do. While Terra was making her tiny little tree grow the Headmistress was talking about it.

"Soil, sand, rock and all manner of plant life. You can control these things and use them to help and protect." Soon enough all of the Earth fairies were done and Terra went to sit back down with her group of friends.

As class was going on, Oakley kept noticing a girl staring at her. Another redhaired girl who didn't seem to have a very good vibe about her. Oakley was stressing out so her powers kind of spiraled slightly. Not much to affect her too bad.

"Now water. You control the lakes and Oceans of the world or the molecules that exist in all organisms around us. It is impossible for you to freeze anything but you can make it evaporate." Aisha went up and moved the water around and separated it as well, without letting a single drop fall. Aisha seemed smart, well in most cases at least.

"The Mind, thoughts, memories, dreams, and feelings. Its harder to control than most because it is constantly running unlike the other elements." Oakley smiled at Musa because it was her turn. She didn't quite understand how you can physically show the powers of a mind fairy if all of their powers are in someone's head.

Musa was listening to peoples thoughts and started broadcasting them out to the class. None of the embarrassing thoughts but it was really cool to witness. Soon all the Mind fairies were done and it was time for the next element. The only one that none  of the girls in the dorm were born with or had control over.

"Air. Speed, temperature and sound. You control its power, and electrical properties." The girl that was stood up at the vessel was the same girl that kept staring at Oakley.
"Hey Musa, whose that girl? She kept looking at me earlier and she creeps me out."

"I think her names Beatrix? And I'm pretty sure she creeps everyone out. Maybe except for Riven. I've seen the two around a few times already. They are basically the same person." Oakley nodded her head but refused to look up at the girl just in case she was already looking at her again.

"Now whatever element, the emotions underlying t are the same for all fairies." Miss Dowling said to everyone and nodded her head towards Bloom to start for the fire fairies. Her dorm mates were nervous for her.
"Fire. Flames, molten rock and even the charcoals of a burned tree. You can control these things."

Bloom started of well and got some small sparks going but she couldn't get much more than that. Miss Dowling was upset and Bloom went to sit back down. Soon enough everyone had tried their luck at controlling their powers, all but Oakley.

"and lastly, Ice, snow, and anything frozen. Almost the same as water but instead the frozen variant. You can manipulate these things to get them to do what you need." There was no going back for Oakley now. The class knew that there was now an Ice fairy with them and they were nervous.

Oakley stood up, took a deep breathe and walked up to the vessel. She could see people whispering already but for now she needed to focus. The girl touched the bowl and when she was ready her eyes lit up bright white almost.

Snow started to fall into the bowl from not very far above it and when Miss Dowling places water in the bowl she started to freeze and mold it. It wasn't a very neat sculpture but it was still impressive to everyone else.

Once she was done, Oakley walked back down to her seat and slouched over taking another deep breathe. Now people knew that it was her. Class was finally over but that could have meant so many different things.

The girls started to head back and Oakley just wanted to hide in her room all of lunch and then go to her specialist training but there was no way that her friends were going to let everyone else get the better of her.

"Can this please be a quick lunch? I don't think I'm in the mood for everyone to be staring." Oakley asked from next to Musa.
"We are going to sit down in the hall as a group like anyone else and eat our lunch like anyone else. Let people whisper, it doesn't mean much." Musa assured her.
